Materials for this ministry are in English and Spanish. Those involved in this endeavor commit to pray for the:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">\n<li>Pastor<\/li>\n<li>Pastoral staff<\/li>\n<li>Church family<\/li>\n<li>Church Ministries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr style=\"color: #2e3d47;\" \/>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\"><strong>DOWNLOAD PASTOR'S PRAYER PARTNERS MANUAL<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<a style=\"color: #0081be;\" href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/discipleship\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/08\/Pastors-Prayer-Partners-Revised-8-2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\nEnglish<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/discipleship\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/08\/PROGRAMAS-FUNDAMENTALES-DE-MINISTERIOS-PPP.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Spanish<\/a><\/p>\n<hr style=\"color: #2e3d47;\" \/>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\"><strong>HOW DOES THIS MINISTRY FUNCTION?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">This ministry functions under the primary oversight of the pastor. In addition, a Prayer Partners coordinator should be appointed to assist the pastor. The coordinator\u2019s responsibilities could include the preparation of a monthly newsletter, periodic prayer breakfasts and the annual Prayer Partners Retreat. Also, a prayer leader is appointed for each week to direct the prayer time in the pastor\u2019s office. Prayer Partners commit to the following schedule of prayer:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">\n<li>Consistent personal prayer<\/li>\n<li>One scheduled Sunday a month, partners gather in the pastor\u2019s office for prayer.<\/li>\n<li>One week of intense prayer for the church per month, the week prior to the scheduled Sunday prayer time.<\/li>\n<li>One day a month when each prayer partner prays especially for the pastor (this is the same day each month throughout the year). During the Sunday prayer time, Prayer Partners gather in the pastor\u2019s office at a time set by the pastor when he shares about the direction of ministry for the day and to learn of any special concerns needing prayer. They lay hands on him and ask for God\u2019s anointing. The Prayer Partners continue to intercede throughout the worship service. A Prayer Partner\u2019s agenda is prepared each Sunday to assist them in knowing the thrust of the message and needs for the day. Prayer Partners who are praying during the service may receive a free tape of the service from the tape ministry desk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\"><strong>WHO MAY BE INVOLVED IN THIS MINISTRY?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">The Pastor\u2019s Prayer Partners ministry is open to any man in the church. The pastor will invite men to participate who have expressed interest in the prayer ministry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\"><strong>WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS MINISTRY?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">Prayer Partners make the following one-year commitments:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">\n<li>Prayer commitments as mentioned above.<\/li>\n<li>Attend a maximum of four prayer breakfast meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Attend the annual Prayer Partners Retreat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\"><strong>PRELIMINARY STEPS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">Discuss the Pastor\u2019s Prayer Partners program in a Men\u2019s Ministries meeting and a special called meeting of all interested men of the church. Prior to the initial meeting, the pastor, in consultation with the Men\u2019s Ministries president, should identify and get a commitment from a prayer coordinator. This should be a person with a heart for prayer ministry and who is willing to serve for a full year. His title will be Prayer Partners Coordinator. When the men come together for the meeting, the pastor, Men\u2019s Ministries president, and prayer partners coordinator should each share their personal vision\/mission for the prayer ministry with the group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\"><strong>IMPLEMENTATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">The Pastor\u2019s Prayer Partners Manual is available by download (see above), in the Resource Information Manual or from the Office of Men\u2019s Ministries, call (405) 787-7110 ext: 3224.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">As you study the Manual, you will be led through a systematic approach to this great and critical ministry.
