It is equivalent to the Eagle Scout award in the Boy Scouts of America. The path to the Gold Medal of Achievment starts with the Bronze Medal. \u00a0After a boy has been a Broze Medalist for at least 3 months he is eligible to earn the Silver Medal of Achievement. A Royal Ranger may earn the GMA as early as age 12, although he must have spent at least 3 months as a Silver Medalist and a total of at least 6 months in an outpost leadership position..
