Ecclesiastes 3<\/a>. Everyone knows it. I know it, you know it, it\u2019s our go to. Oh the encouragement that comes from it. There is a time for the valley\u2019s and a time for the mountain tops- and this scripture confirms that we will experience them both. In my personal life I cling to these truths. The truth that my valley\u2019s are real but it\u2019s only a season. Sweet relief!<\/p>\n

As a Youth Pastor, if I\u2019m honest, I don\u2019t fancy this passage as much as I do when I\u2019m thinking about my personal life. You see\u2026 I\u2019m mostly the sower. I\u2019m the one who plants the seed. I water it. I nurture it, and if I\u2019m lucky I may see a sprout.<\/p>\n

Then\u2026<\/p>\n

BAM<\/p>\n

Their gone. Gone to college. Gone to the mission field. Gone to marriage. Gone to poor life decisions. Just gone. In youth ministry we don\u2019t always see our harvest. Whoever THAT guy is must be on quite the mountaintop all the time- always laughing and giddy with joy. The joy of my sowing.<\/p>\n

When I think about it, though. I mean REALLY think about it. When I let go of my tantrum of being on the weeping, casting away, and losing side of these seasons I remember this.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also the builder upper. I\u2019m the peace giver in my student\u2019s war. I\u2019m the embracer. And sometimes I\u2019m even the laugher.<\/p>\n

I know how hard being mostly the sower is. But, friends, we have the best job in the world. We sow Jesus. We sow love. We sow hope for their future. My prayer for you, fellow sowers, is this: God, give us joy in our sowing, rest in our labor, and confidence in our seed- even if we don\u2019t always get to see the harvest. Remind us that there would be no harvest without the sowing. Thank you for making me to be a sower. Amen!<\/p>\n

Ido al matrimonio. Se fue a las malas decisiones de la vida. Se acaba de ir. En el ministerio juvenil no siempre vemos nuestra cosecha. Quien sea ESE tipo debe estar en la cima de la monta\u00f1a todo el tiempo, siempre riendo y mareado de alegr\u00eda. La alegr\u00eda de mi siembra. Sin embargo, cuando lo pienso. Me refiero a REALMENTE pensar en ello. Cuando solt\u00e9 mi berrinche de estar llorando, desechando y perdiendo el lado de estas estaciones, recuerdo esto. Tambi\u00e9n soy el constructor superior. Soy el dador de paz en la guerra de mis alumnos. Soy el abrazador. Y a veces incluso soy la risa. S\u00e9 lo dif\u00edcil que es ser sembrador. Pero, amigos, tenemos el mejor trabajo del mundo. Nosotros sembramos a Jes\u00fas. Sembramos amor. Sembramos esperanza para su futuro. Mi oraci\u00f3n por ustedes, compa\u00f1eros sembradores, es esta: Dios, dennos alegr\u00eda en nuestra siembra, descansen en nuestro trabajo y conf\u00eden en nuestra semilla, incluso si no siempre vemos la cosecha. Recu\u00e9rdanos que no habr\u00eda cosecha sin la siembra.
