Here are seven ideas for you to utilize in your own church.

Host a Men’s Ministries Day

Just like Mother’s Day celebrates every woman, you can celebrate all of the men in your church, regardless of whether they have biological children or not! Since Men’s Ministries Day is also Father’s Day, work with your Men’s Ministries director to plan a day that involves all the men in your church.

Preach a Father’s Day Sermon

IPHC Men’s Ministries has provided a sermon outline entitled “Equipping Men to Win” based off of Ephesians 6:10-18. Feel free to download this outline and customize it to fit with your church! DOWNLOAD HERE.

Utilize your Resources

The men in your church are a great resource! Ask for volunteers to help with your Men’s Ministries day. Be creative with new projects that men can get involved with.

Honor the Men

Too often we see Father’s Day used as a day to reprimand the men in the church; that they need to “step up” and “be real men”. Instead, take an opportunity this Father’s Day to thank the men in your church for their hard work! Remember, they’re there. At church! That’s an achievement on its own!

Plan a Guy-Friendly Activity

If your Sunday morning service is already booked, host a special activity for Men’s Ministries Day! A Men’s Breakfast or cookout is a great way to include the men in your church and your community.

Give a Small Gift

If you can, a small gift is a great way to include all the men in your church. Even something as simple as a cookie would be appropriate. Another option would be to have a photographer set up a backdrop and offer free family and friend pictures.

Pray a Blessing

Whatever you may plan to do for your Men’s Ministries Day, don’t forget to include a time of prayer for your men at the end of your service. Pray a prayer of blessing over the men and include a time for them to pray over the next generation of men in your church, down to the youngest of boys. This would be a great opportunity to include your Boy’s Ministry and Student Ministry leaders as well!

W.
