Located in a suburb of Oklahoma City, the 500 student population at SCU creates a perfect blend of small town and big city. The University is located just 10 miles from historic Bricktown, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The possibilities for weekend entertainment are endless. The fun does not stop there, as our 15 on-campus organizations, provide a variety of activities throughout the semester.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, SCU allows the opportunity to encounter God in every aspect of our culture. God can be easily lost in our fast-paced world today. Southwestern Christian University gives you the chance to put the brush in the hand of the Painter.You may see your life in black and white, but God sees it in color!<\/p>\n

\u201cI was raised in an IPHC congregation in South Carolina.\u00a0I felt the Lord\u2019s call to come to Southwestern Christian University when I was 15 years old at Accelerant, an IPHC youth conference. When I arrived on the campus at SCU as a freshman, I was extremely nervous, but full of faith, because I knew God had made a way for me to attend SCU. As a student, I was challenged to grow in my faith, and I was stretched academically. I made life-long friends, and found a new family. Today, SCU is still my home. I currently serve as the Director of Admissions. My favorite part about my job is representing the University at IPHC events. I am a product of this great denomination, and my desire is to see others attend SCU and fall in love with it as much as I have.\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Jessie Burpo, \u201913 alum<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cuando llegu\u00e9 al campus de SCU como estudiante de primer a\u00f1o, estaba extremadamente nervioso, pero lleno de fe, porque sab\u00eda que Dios hab\u00eda hecho un camino para m\u00ed para asistir a SCU. Como estudiante, me desafiaron a crecer en mi fe, y me fue estirado acad\u00e9micamente. Hice amigos de por vida, y encontr\u00e9 una nueva familia. Hoy, SCU sigue siendo mi hogar. Actualmente soy el Director de Admisiones. Mi parte favorita de mi trabajo es representar a la Universidad en los eventos de IPHC.
