"Capture"After a season of miraculous giving, we want to thank each of you who have given to Emmanuel College. To God we give all the glory and praise!

As you know, we discovered a major financial need earlier this year. We shared that need with you and reached out to you for help. You responded in a miraculous way! Thank you for caring enough to pray and fast and even send in your financial contributions to support Emmanuel during this time.

Many of you have been consistent and long-time supporters of Emmanuel, while others of you have recently reconnected. You went above and beyond your usual efforts, and we really appreciate each and every one of you. While the majority of these gifts came from individuals, organizations, and foundations, our churches and conferences certainly added an extremely strong show of support in this effort.

We know of some who withdrew money from their retirement accounts. Some family foundations gave tens of thousands of dollars. Personnel from other colleges sent us their contributions. Our own EC faculty and staff gave generously. Presiding Bishop A. D. Beacham Jr. and IPHC conference superintendents appealed to churches as well as personally invested in Emmanuel. Many businesses also sent in their gifts.

We have received contributions from more than 650 individuals, nearly 100 churches, 25 organizations and foundations, 15 businesses and an estate. The gifts we have received to date total $1.25 million. We are forever grateful and humbled!

We know of story after touching story — all are a testament to the kind of profound, personal impact God has had on the lives of thousands of people through Emmanuel College. We all believe in Emmanuel, and we are willing to work together to ensure others might have the same opportunities many of us have experienced through our own connections.

In addition to miraculous giving, we also have good news about enrollment. It was necessary to adjust our budget for this current academic year, and we based it on a full-time equivalent (FTE) student number of 710. As of this writing, our FTE for fall semester is actually just above that. Praise the Lord! We also have more than 260 new students, which is more than we have had in recent years and is nearly a record for any year.

While we are so thankful to God and overwhelmed by your generosity and encouragement, we still need your prayerful and financial support. We invite you to continue to partner with us as TOGETHER we strive to achieve future goals. It is important that we keep moving forward.

We are currently conducting a search for an interim president and ask that you help us pray about that as we are working to find the right person. We hope to make that announcement soon.

In addition to thanking our alumni, friends, churches and the IPHC denomination, we wish to express our appreciation to the administration, faculty and staff of Emmanuel College for their hard work and dedication on campus each day.

We also express appreciation to our students who chose to come to Emmanuel. We want them to know that we truly care for each of them and are so very glad they are here. The school year has begun with a real spirit of revival, and we know that lives will be changed because of Emmanuel … God With Us!

We want to stay connected to keep you informed and engaged with the many good things God continues to do here. Please visit www.ec.edu/alumni/connected or call
