Beliefs and Behavior: Sound Doctrine<\/strong>
\nBy Dr. Ronald Q. Moore<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sound doctrine is, to our Christian faith, the basic foundation for our beliefs and our behavior. Christian disciples build our belief systems upon the life, ministry, and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ\u2013the son of God, the savior of the world, and our soon coming King of kings!<\/p>\n

As a Disciple of Jesus, we are to learn His teachings until they become our BELIEFS. Also, we are to follow\/obey His commandments until they become our BEHAVIOR, because what we BELIEVE affects how we BEHAVE!<\/p>\n

There is a direct correlation between BELIEFS and BEHAVIOR!<\/p>\n

Our Lord Jesus said, \u201cI am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) me.\u201d He also said, \u201cYou shall know the truth and the truth will set you FREE.\u201d (John 8:32)<\/p>\n

To KNOW involves a process of integration. We receive the TRUTH by hearing, and we acknowledge it through cognitive awareness into our brain (HEAD Knowledge). Then, we meditate on the truth in our HEART, as the Holy Spirit makes application to our spirit! It is from the Head and the Heart that we BELIEVE!<\/p>\n

Now, to BELIEVE means: We TRUST IN, We RELY ON, and We CLING to this TRUTH!<\/p>\n

Believing truth transforms us from the inside and changes our outside behavior! Our behavior has changed, because we believe God\u2019s truth!<\/p>\n

Therefore, because we are a BELIEVER of truth, we now have become<\/p>\n

an Obedient Doer of the truth. (Changed Behavior)<\/p>\n

There is a direct correlation between what we BELIEVE and how we BEHAVE!<\/p>\n

Please, always remember: \u201cWhat you BELIEVE is what you do,\u201d and \u201cYou DO What You do, because you BELIEVE what you BELIEVE!\u201d<\/p>\n

It is vital that WE BELIEVE\u2014trust in, cling to, rely on\u2014the TRUTHS of the WORD OF GOD! SOUND DOCTRINE!<\/p>\n

A story is told of a high-wire walker, who pushed a wheelbarrow across a steel cable stretched over the Niagara Falls. As he returned from the other side, he asked a gentleman who had just witnessed the feat, \u201cSir, do you BELIEVE I can do that again?\u201d The gentleman promptly replied, \u201cYes, I BELIEVE you can!\u201d To which the high-wire walker said, \u201cGet in the wheelbarrow and let\u2019s go!\u201d<\/p>\n

To BELIEVE means we are ready and willing to \u201cGET IN!\u201d<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n dijo:\" Conocer\u00e1s la verdad y la verdad te har\u00e1 LIBERARSE \"(Juan 8:32). SABER implica un proceso de integraci\u00f3n. Recibimos la VERDAD al escucharla, y la reconocemos a trav\u00e9s de la conciencia cognitiva en nuestro cerebro (HEAD Knowledge). Entonces, meditamos en la verdad en nuestro CORAZ\u00d3N, \u00a1ya que el Esp\u00edritu Santo se aplica a nuestro esp\u00edritu! \u00a1Es de la cabeza y del coraz\u00f3n que CREEMOS! Ahora, CREER significa: confiamos, confiamos y nos aferramos a esta VERDAD. \u00a1Creer en la verdad nos transforma desde adentro y cambia nuestro comportamiento externo! \u00a1Nuestro comportamiento ha cambiado, porque creemos la verdad de Dios! Por lo tanto, debido a que somos CREYENTES de la verdad, ahora nos hemos convertido en un Hacedor Obediente de la verdad. (Comportamiento modificado) \u00a1Existe una correlaci\u00f3n directa entre lo que CREEMOS y c\u00f3mo LO HACEMOS! Por favor, siempre recuerde: \u201cLo que CREES es lo que haces\u201d y \u201cHACES lo que haces, porque CREES lo que CREES\u201d. Es vital que CREEMOS: confiar, aferrarnos, confiar en \u2014 las VERDADES de \u00a1la palabra de Dios! DOCTRINA DE SONIDO! ILUSTRACI\u00d3N: Se cuenta la historia de un caminante de cables altos, que empuj\u00f3 una carretilla a trav\u00e9s de un cable de acero tendido sobre las cataratas del Ni\u00e1gara.
