So many times, we use words without really stopping to think about their meaning, especially if they are words we use often. Such was the case when I began to write this article on \u201cfellowship.\u201d So, I decided to look up the meaning of this word in the dictionary; one of the definitions used is \u201ca community of interest, activity, feeling or expression.\u201d Now, I know what a community is, but I decided to check this word out as well. The definition I found was not what I was thinking at all; the dictionary defined community as \u201ca unified body of individuals.\u201d These two definitions combined to change the way I was thinking about going with this article. The combined definitions are: a fellowship is a body of individuals, unified in their interests, activities, feelings, or experiences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The early Christians, in Acts 2:42, \u201ccontinued steadfastly in the apostles\u2019 doctrine and fellowship<\/strong>, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.\u201d They were strong in the unity of their shared interests, activities, feelings, or experiences.<\/p>\n

The core objective of Boys\u2019 Ministries is discipleship\u2013 to provide boys with a clear picture of biblical manhood, according to the model of Jesus Christ and with a process by which to pursue it. Simply put\u2013 providing boys with a picture and a process for Christlike manhood. John Eldridge writes in his book, Wild at Heart<\/em>, \u201cMasculinity is bestowed. A boy learns who he is from a man or a company of men. He can learn it no other place.\u201d Every boy needs a community of men and boys with whom he can identify and feel a sense of belonging.<\/p>\n

Men and boys learn best side by side doing things. This is how relationships are best formed: the more things we do together, the stronger the relationships are. The stronger our relationships, the more effective our ministry can be. Mentoring does not have to be complicated, but it does have to intentional. Mentoring is simply investing in the life of a boy, finding a shared interest, and building a relationship. It is providing a picture and a process for Christlike manhood<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tal fue el caso cuando comenc\u00e9 a escribir este art\u00edculo sobre "compa\u00f1erismo". Por lo tanto, decid\u00ed buscar el significado de esta palabra en el diccionario; una de las definiciones utilizadas es "una comunidad de inter\u00e9s, actividad, sentimiento o expresi\u00f3n". Ahora, s\u00e9 lo que es una comunidad, pero decid\u00ed verificar esta palabra tambi\u00e9n. La definici\u00f3n que encontr\u00e9 no era lo que estaba pensando en absoluto; el diccionario defini\u00f3 a la comunidad como "un cuerpo unificado de individuos". Estas dos definiciones se combinaron para cambiar la forma en que estaba pensando en ir con este art\u00edculo. Las definiciones combinadas son: una comunidad es un cuerpo de individuos, unificados en sus intereses, actividades, sentimientos o experiencias<\/strong> . Los primeros cristianos, en Hechos 2:42, "continuaron firmemente en la doctrina y la comuni\u00f3n de<\/strong> los ap\u00f3stoles, en el partimiento del pan y en las oraciones". Fueron fuertes en la unidad de sus intereses, actividades, sentimientos o experiencias compartidos. El objetivo central de los Ministerios de Ni\u00f1os es el discipulado: proporcionar a los ni\u00f1os una imagen clara de la condici\u00f3n de hombre b\u00edblico, de acuerdo con el modelo de Jesucristo y con un proceso por el cual seguirlo. En pocas palabras: proporcionar a los ni\u00f1os una imagen y un proceso para la virilidad de Cristo. John Eldridge escribe en su libro, Wild at Heart<\/em> , \u201cSe otorga masculinidad. Un ni\u00f1o aprende qui\u00e9n es de un hombre o de una compa\u00f1\u00eda de hombres. \u00c9l no puede aprenderlo en ning\u00fan otro lugar \u201d. Cada ni\u00f1o necesita una comunidad de hombres y ni\u00f1os con los que pueda identificarse y sentir un sentido de pertenencia. Los hombres y los ni\u00f1os aprenden mejor al lado haciendo cosas. As\u00ed es como las relaciones se forman mejor: cuanto m\u00e1s hacemos juntos, m\u00e1s fuertes son las relaciones. Cuanto m\u00e1s fuertes sean nuestras relaciones, m\u00e1s efectivo puede ser nuestro ministerio. La tutor\u00eda no tiene que ser complicada, pero s\u00ed tiene que ser intencional. La tutor\u00eda es simplemente invertir en la vida de un ni\u00f1o, encontrar un inter\u00e9s compartido y construir una relaci\u00f3n. Proporciona una imagen y un proceso para la virilidad de Cristo<\/strong> .
