Women of the IPHC,<\/p>\n

The FLOURISH Women\u2019s Ministries General Convention in Jacksonville, Florida was incredible! \u00a0We gathered on July 26th<\/sup>, 2022, for the 18th<\/sup> quadrennial convention for Women\u2019s Ministries of the IPHC. \u00a0Melanie Wayne and her team led us in a powerful time of worship, and Beth Taylor challenged us with a timely message on how the flourish by operating from a place of rest. We accomplished something BIG and exciting for the future of Women\u2019s Ministries.<\/p>\n

In preparing for our convention, the IPHC General Women\u2019s Ministries Board knew it was time for a transition in our ministry. \u00a0For decades, Women\u2019s Ministries has seen the need to adapt to changing times and engage younger women. \u00a0With this in mind, our priority was to ensure that discipleship to women is happening in the local church. \u00a0Additionally, we wanted to make room for a new generation of women to rise in leadership. \u00a0We knew that for this to happen, our ministry needed to shift from a business model to a ministry model. \u00a0Therefore, the general board proposed that bylaws be removed from our organizational structure at our convention. \u00a0This proposal passed unanimously and was a culture-changing moment for Women\u2019s Ministries.<\/p>\n

This change allows us more flexibility in ministering to women in the local church. \u00a0It also allows us more time for worship, prayer, and discipleship in our gatherings. \u00a0Additionally, this shift allows us a path forward to better engage younger generations of women. \u00a0A newly revised Leader\u2019s Guide was made available to help guide ministry to women at the local, general, and conference levels.\u00a0 This guide can be found on our website, iphc.org\/women. The future is bright for IPHC Women, and we believe ministry to women will FLOURISH in the days, months, and years ahead.<\/p>\n

Whitney is a wife, mom, encourager, gatherer, and visionary. She is the director for Women\u2019s Ministries of the IPHC. Whitney and her husband, Brad, live in North Carolina. They are the proud parents of five- Carmen, Evelyn, Sullivan, Ellington and Deacon.<\/p>\n

Whitney has a passion for helping women on the journey of becoming more like Jesus. She desires for Women\u2019s Ministries to be the arm of the church that is uniquely positioned to equip women for the work of discipleship.<\/p>\n

Whitney is a graduate of Clemson University and enjoys cheering on the Tigers.
