Psalm 79:13

As we prepare to close out 2022, I am reminded of how much we have to be thankful for as a ministry. Since the 1940s, the women of the IPHC have been seeking the Lord and serving with purpose. The above scripture states, “We will show forth Your praise to all generations,” and that is our cry today. We praise the Lord for decades and generations of fruitful service to the Kingdom of God through the women of the IPHC. Our ministry today exists because of the foundation laid by generations of women who were pioneers before us.

Women’s Ministries accomplished something big this year as we corporately decided to move to a more flexible ministry-led structure. Our primary goal is to focus on relationships and discipleship among women in the local church. We want to see women becoming more like Christ and inviting others to join them on that journey. Our theme this year has been FLOURISH, and we are seeing women grow and flourish throughout our church worldwide. We know that to thrive, we must cultivate fertile soil for growth in our hearts and lives, plant ourselves well in the Word of God and a community of believers, tend to the growth process of becoming more like Christ, and trust the Lord to bear fruit despite the hardships we face.

As we near the end of this year, it is an excellent time to pause, reflect, celebrate, and give thanks for all the ways the Lord has sustained, provided for us, led us, and kept us over the past year. We are excited about what is to come in the new year. We will soon celebrate the birth of Christ, Emmanuel- God with us. Let this be a season where we rest in the presence of Christ, who indeed is with us through His Holy Spirit, and prepare ourselves for what is to come.

Starting in the new year, our theme in Women’s Ministries for the next Quadrennium will be ABIDE. We will focus on a different aspect of how we abide in Christ over the next four years. We believe that as women embrace a life of abiding in Jesus, they will continually be transformed into His likeness. When women become more like Christ, they carry the power to impact those in the home, workplace, church, and community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We desire to see women becoming more dedicated disciples of Christ and thus becoming disciples who make disciples.

There is much excitement in our ministry. The Lord is igniting the hearts of women, drawing us closer to Himself, and sending us on a mission to bring the hope of the gospel to those broken and hurting. I extend and big THANK YOU to all of you who serve the women of your church and community. As we flourish this year, may we grow in gratitude for all the ways we have experienced the faithfulness of Jesus. We are just getting started. I’m grateful to be on this journey with you.

Whitney Davis is a wife, mom, encourager, and visionary.
