{"id":2050,"date":"2022-10-03T14:56:14","date_gmt":"2022-10-03T19:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/evangelism\/?p=2050"},"modified":"2022-10-03T14:56:41","modified_gmt":"2022-10-03T19:56:41","slug":"2022-bi-annual-iphc-chaplains-banquet-and-training-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/evangelism\/2022\/10\/03\/2022-bi-annual-iphc-chaplains-banquet-and-training-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"2022 Bi-Annual IPHC Chaplains\u2019 Banquet and Training Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>July 25<sup>th<\/sup> and 26<sup>th<\/sup> commemorated the 2022 bi-annual IPHC Chaplain Ministries Banquet and Training Conference preceding the General Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.\u00a0 Over 35 active duty and retired military chaplains and their spouses were in attendance as well as several General Officials and Conference Bishops.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/evangelism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/10\/1-Group-Copy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2051 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/evangelism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/10\/1-Group-Copy.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"478\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/evangelism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/10\/1-Group-Copy.jpg 1174w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/evangelism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/10\/1-Group-Copy-1024x675.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/evangelism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/10\/1-Group-Copy-768x506.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 478px) 100vw, 478px\" \/><\/a> The banquet agenda was different this year, as two of our IPHC military chaplains, Chaplain Tim Moore and Chaplain Doug Beacham were not able to have retirement ceremonies when they left the service due to special circumstances.\u00a0 So, they were provided with post-retirement ceremonies planned under the greatest of secrecies.<\/p>\n<p>First, Mrs. Ruthe Brookshire, wife of deceased Chaplain Joe Brookshire, was recognized as the very special honored guest at the banquet.<\/p>\n<p>Pam Moore and Susan Beacham were instrumental in gaining the necessary documentation without the chaplains\u2019 knowledge and ensuring the chaplains would be at the banquet. \u00a0Our senior Navy chaplain, Chaplain Kendal Taylor provided the honors for Chaplain Moore. \u00a0Very secret arrangements were made for the surprise attendance of Chaplain Beacham\u2019s very close friend and former supervisor, Major General (MG) Emile Bataille, USAR Retired, to honor Chaplain Beacham.\u00a0 Each retiree was presented with the Meritorious Service Medal as well as the new IPHC Chaplain Ministries medallion.<\/p>\n<p>Worship music was provided by Chaplain James and Joy Ward and dinner music was provided by Laban P. West.<\/p>\n<p>The training day was exceptional as well.
