{"id":229,"date":"2014-04-28T21:04:06","date_gmt":"2014-04-28T21:04:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/evangelism\/?p=229"},"modified":"2014-10-23T21:05:45","modified_gmt":"2014-10-23T21:05:45","slug":"getting-out-of-your-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/evangelism\/2014\/04\/28\/getting-out-of-your-place\/","title":{"rendered":"GETTING OUT OF \u201cYOUR PLACE\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Directive #16-<strong>April 28, 2014<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SCRIPTURE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Joshua 3: 2 &#8211; 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2<\/strong> And it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the host; <strong>3<\/strong> And they commanded the people, saying, <strong>When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your<\/strong> <strong>God,<\/strong> and the priests the Levites bearing it, <strong>then ye shall remove from your place, and go after<\/strong> <strong>it.<\/strong> <strong>4<\/strong> Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I Kings 17: 7 \u2013 9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>7<\/strong>And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land <strong>8 <\/strong>And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, <strong>9 <\/strong>Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INTERPRETATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Joshua 3:2 -4<\/p>\n<p>Entering into the promises of GOD requires a continual willingness to leave<strong> \u201c<\/strong>our place\u201d and allow the presence of GOD (represented by the ark) to lead us into places we have never been.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I Kings 7 &#8211; 9<\/p>\n<p>GOD commands Elijah to leave a place to which HE had sent him, and go to where he (Elijah) was now being sent.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRAYER POINT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pray for the courage and resolve to leave <strong>\u201cour places\u201d <\/strong>of comfort, familiarity, routine, etc. And follow HIS presence as HE leads us into new places of purpose and promise.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>S.
