No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INTERPRETATION:<\/strong> New Testament scriptures make reference to historical soldiers or examples of soldiers to remind us of our development of faith and confession and lifestyle of vision and vigilance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>OTHER SCRIPTURES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew<\/strong><strong> 8:5 \u2013 13 <\/strong>\u201cBut only say the word, and my servant will be cured.\u201d (A soldier said this).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Know that Jesus is our authority<\/li>\n<li>Use our faith for the good of someone else<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Acts<\/strong><strong> 10:1 \u2013 3 <\/strong>\u201cAbout three in the afternoon he distinctly saw in a vision\u2026\u201d (Cornelius, an Italian soldier had a vision for Peter to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We need a vision that the Gospel will be paramount in our families, and spread across our society<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Matthew<\/strong><strong> 27:54 <\/strong>\u201cWhen the centurion and those with him\u2026saw\u2026they were terrified and said, \u201cTruly this was the Son of God.\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We need a confession; of our sins and to the deity of Jesus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Luke<\/strong><strong> 3:14 <\/strong>\u201cSome Soldiers questioned him (John the Baptist), \u201cWhat should we do?\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cDon\u2019t intimidate people for money.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cDon\u2019t accuse anyone falsely.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cLive within your means.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRAYER POINTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pray for opportunities to use our faith for the good of someone else.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pray for a vision and goals to see the Gospel spread.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pray for a confession with a strong conviction that Jesus is Who He said He is.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Pray for all things and expect results &#8211; Prefacing what we do and say with prayer puts the results in God\u2019s hands.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jerry L.
