Generational Stewardship<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For the\u00a0Lord\u00a0is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Psalms 100:5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I am grateful for the invitation to provide an article highlighting our 2018 Theme \u201cWe Value All Generations\u201d. I\u2019m thrilled that IPHC is placing such great emphasis on Generations. As I pondered, prayed, and prepared for this assignment, I became captivated by the thought of \u201cGenerational Stewardship\u201d. I have been a strong proponent of Biblical Stewardship that goes beyond our financial resources. I do believe how we steward our financial resources are important and I also believe that it is equally important how we submit to Biblical Stewardship in every facet of our lives. I must admit that I\u2019ve given an intentional effort and investment into creating a multi-generational culture within my various ministry contexts. However, I cannot say that I have ever interpreted valuing all generations through the lenses or framework of Biblical Stewardship. I would suggest that we engage simultaneously the practical principles outlined in this article and I hope you will be encouraged and empowered to make a difference.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Honor the Leading Generation <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I believe valuing all generations begins with properly honoring the generation that is leading us, the leading generation has paid a price for the platform they are standing on and the emerging generation will stand upon their shoulders. I am appealing to all emerging generations to learn the art of honoring the leading generation by: making it a priority to respect, deeply appreciate, learn from, and serve alongside the leading generation in a way that brings honor to them and God.<\/p>\n

Serve Your Generation<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n

You must serve your generation! While honoring the leading generation, you must become keenly aware and fully engaged in God\u2019s assignment on your life and the unique way that you have been called to serve your generation. What assignment do you have for your generation?<\/p>\n

“Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed. <\/em><\/p>\n

Acts 13:36<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Prepare the next Generation<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We have been given the privilege and responsibility to prepare the next generation for ministry. I specifically would like to highlight the significance of preparing the next generation to develop a personal and passionate relationship with God, learning to hear and obey the voice of God, and cultivate a heart for the Harvest of lost souls.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You then, my son,\u00a0be strong\u00a0in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And the things you have heard me say\u00a0in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0II Timothy 1-2<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many. I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness. Serve<\/em><\/strong> with the next Generation<\/strong><\/p>\n

I believe one of the ways we value all generations, is when generations serve together. What an incredible example we are to the church and world when all generations honor, celebrate, and serve with one another.<\/p>\n

One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. <\/em><\/p>\n

Mayordom\u00eda generacional<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Preparar la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\nNos han dado el privilegio y la responsabilidad de preparar a la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n para el ministerio. Espec\u00edficamente me gustar\u00eda resaltar la importancia de preparar a la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n para desarrollar una relaci\u00f3n personal y apasionada con Dios, aprender a escuchar y obedecer la voz de Dios y cultivar un coraz\u00f3n para la Cosecha de almas perdidas.\r\n

T\u00fa, hijo m\u00edo, s\u00e9 fuerte en la gracia que es en Cristo Jes\u00fas.<\/em> \u00a0<\/sup><\/strong> Y las cosas que me han escuchado decir en presencia de muchos testigos conf\u00edan a personas confiables que tambi\u00e9n estar\u00e1n calificadas para ense\u00f1ar a otros.<\/em><\/p>\r\n

II Timoteo 1-2<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Escucha, hijo m\u00edo, y acepta mis palabras, que los a\u00f1os de tu vida pueden ser muchos. Te he ense\u00f1ado el camino de la sabidur\u00eda; Te he guiado en los caminos de la rectitud. Una generaci\u00f3n encomendar\u00e1 tus obras a otro y declarar\u00e1 tus actos poderosos.<\/em><\/p>\r\n
