{"id":1012,"date":"2016-09-14T19:12:52","date_gmt":"2016-09-14T19:12:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/?p=1012"},"modified":"2016-09-14T19:25:24","modified_gmt":"2016-09-14T19:25:24","slug":"great-plains-2016-conference-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/2016\/09\/14\/great-plains-2016-conference-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Great Plains 2016 Conference Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was my pleasure to preside over the 2016 Great Plains Annual Conference and attend their other connecting events September 9-10, 2016.\u00a0 The weekend was phenomenal!\u00a0\u00a0 The Lord showed up powerfully!\u00a0 The meeting was held at the Wyndham Garden hotel in Amarillo, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Betty and I drove over on Friday afternoon to attend the annual \u201cGO\u201d World Missions banquet. Approximately 175 were present.\u00a0 Overall some $6,000.00 was raised in cash and other $10,000.00 was pledged.\u00a0 This would be well above the 2015 amount received for the Great Plains GO Offering.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n<p>I was honored to speak at the meal.\u00a0 Various gifts were given to the pastors and the pastor\u2019s wives.\u00a0 They were excited and appreciative.\u00a0 The challenge for missions was phenomenal.\u00a0 The new missions director, Pastor Dennis Hartley, did an excellent job.\u00a0 Two new church planters were recognized.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n<p>During the Adult Mission Banquet\/Service on Friday night, the older youth met in a separate location.\u00a0 They had 75 in attendance.\u00a0 Discipleship Ministries Director Jake Bunn had planned and prepared well.\u00a0 Andrew Hamm from Oklahoma City spoke.\u00a0 I am told he was excellent.\u00a0 The youth were very receptive.\u00a0 Andrew is a creative and anointed speaker.<\/p>\n<p>The Annual Conference began on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with coffee, donuts and exhibits.\u00a0 Everyone was in place by the first song at 9 a.m.\u00a0 After a time of spirited-anointed worship, I presented the Holiness video and theme for 2016.\u00a0 Both were well received.\u00a0 The Ministry Directors were given ample time for their reports.\u00a0 They reported well.<\/p>\n<p>Men\u2019s Ministries \u2013 Danny Stewart<\/p>\n<p>Women\u2019s Ministries \u2013 Lavana Greene<\/p>\n<p>Intercession \u2013 Debbie Estrada<\/p>\n<p>Hispanic Ministries \u2013 Hector Chavez<\/p>\n<p>World Missions \u2013 Dennis Hartley<\/p>\n<p>Discipleship Ministries \u2013 Jake Bunn<\/p>\n<p>Financial Report \u2013 Craig Lawlis<\/p>\n<p>The Conference is well organized and individuals are released for ministry.\u00a0 The total conference was bilingual &#8211; English and Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Scott Hampton gave a powerful report and State of the Conference.\u00a0 He is excited.\u00a0 His people are excited.\u00a0 There was an excellent Spirit present.\u00a0 Great Plains is moving forward. Bishop Scott is out front and not afraid to lead.<\/p>\n<p>8 received a Local Church Certificate<\/p>\n<p>13 received License<\/p>\n<p>2 were ordained<\/p>\n<p>Most of these were the fruit of the Conference School of Ministry.\u00a0 They were one diverse group.\u00a0 I was thrilled.\u00a0 The conference is growing.<\/p>\n<p>Rev. Ronnie Saldana and wife, Alicia, were present representing Bishop David Avila and the Texas Latin Conference.\u00a0 Pastors Marcus and Beverly Light were present representing their church in Rolla, Kansas.\u00a0 Carolyn Burd, from EVUSA was present (her home conference).\u00a0 Gary Burd was in California.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Scott had anticipated closing at 1p.m. We finished at 12:58 p.m.\u00a0 Betty and I enjoyed a good lunch with some members of the Executive Council and their spouses.<\/p>\n<p>Betty and I did enjoy this weekend so very much.\u00a0 We were given a \u201cleaders\u2019\u2019 welcome with honor.\u00a0 We were given the Presidential Suite at the hotel.\u00a0 Wow!<\/p>\n<p>We stayed over to attend the Christian Heritage Church on Sunday am.\u00a0 I was honored to preach.\u00a0 It was a powerful morning with nearly 300 in attendance.\u00a0 The altar service was just wonderful!\u00a0 We were blessed with a great Texas steak s along with Bishop Hampton, Pastor Craig Lawlis and their families.\u00a0 We felt that we were among family.<\/p>\n<p>God is at work in the Great Plains!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Bishop D. El evento fue presentado por el pastor \u00c1ngel D\u00edaz y el Cristo de la roca de la iglesia. Obispo Blas Ram\u00edrez es el superintendente \/ obispo Tuve el privilegio de presidir la Conferencia. Yo disfruto de mis visitas a la conferencia. Durante mi tiempo all\u00ed tuve cinco traductores. He trabajado con cada uno antes. Ellos hacen un excelente trabajo. Ellos son viejos amigos. Cuatro eran pastores. He predicado en cada una de sus iglesias. La Conferencia Anual comenz\u00f3 con un servicio al estilo de reuni\u00f3n al aire la noche del jueves. Obispo Blas predic\u00f3 un mensaje poderoso en la evangelizaci\u00f3n, la expansi\u00f3n y llegar en medio de grandes desaf\u00edos culturales. Su mensaje fue bien recibido. Disfrut\u00e9 de una buena comuni\u00f3n con \u00e9l y su esposa. Habl\u00e9 el viernes por la tarde. Mis temas estaban introduciendo el tema de la santidad y \"recuperar la maravilla.\" Obispo Blas dio un tiempo de visi\u00f3n de fundici\u00f3n en su Informe de la conferencia. La asistencia a la reuni\u00f3n oscilaron entre 150 a la 380 en la noche del viernes. La mayor\u00eda de las iglesias estaban representados. Muchos de los pastores que conozco personalmente. Tuve el privilegio de conocer a muchos otros nuevos. Ten\u00edan muchas preguntas sobre EVUSA y Ministerios Hispanos. Muchos preguntaron acerca del fondo de pr\u00e9stamos de extensi\u00f3n. El viernes por la noche antes del mensaje, me cobran y la licencia de unos 16 individuos. Tambi\u00e9n otorgamos 9 Certificados Ministerial de la Iglesia Local. Hubo mucha diversidad en edad y sexo. Casi la mitad de los candidatos eran mujeres. El viernes por la ma\u00f1ana me gustar\u00eda cargar y ordenar a 10 individuos. Este fue un momento muy especial. Varios de los candidatos que conoc\u00eda personalmente. Despu\u00e9s de la ceremonia de ordenaci\u00f3n el s\u00e1bado, la Conferencia concluy\u00f3 con un servicio de graduaci\u00f3n de la Universidad Teol\u00f3gica Internacional. Nueve diplomas recibidos. Se trata de una instituci\u00f3n de formaci\u00f3n hispana acreditada con su base en Raleigh, Carolina del Norte. El Dr. Julian Rosario es el presidente. La organizaci\u00f3n hace un buen trabajo. La organizaci\u00f3n es conocida por EVUSA. El Dr. Luis \u00c1vila ha sabido de ellos desde hace alg\u00fan tiempo. Me hizo disfrutar de la Conferencia. Obispo Ram\u00edrez y su equipo hab\u00edan llenado cada momento con la instrucci\u00f3n y de culto. El obispo implicado todo su consejo en diversas actividades. El culto fue excelente. Red de Ministerios Sonshine se est\u00e1 moviendo hacia adelante y comienza a crecer de forma exponencial. El domingo prediqu\u00e9 dos veces en los Ministerios Visi\u00f3n vida abundante en Hallandale, Florida. Los pastores son Jorge y Aida Hern\u00e1ndez. Tienen una iglesia de casi 300. Si se puede conseguir en su propio edificio, que saltar\u00edan al 500 inmediatamente. Estos dos han sido estimados amigos de cinco a\u00f1os. Aida es una de las secretarias de conferencias. Ambos est\u00e1n certificados de DCIP. Hemos ense\u00f1ado juntos varias veces. Su equipo de adoraci\u00f3n se compone de cantantes, m\u00fasicos de cuerda, un teclado y un conjunto de metales completo. \u00a1Guauu! Su adoraci\u00f3n es fenomenal.
