\u201cfor the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking,<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.\u201d – Romans 14:17<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

In 2017, the IPHC vision of \u201cPlace of Hope. People of Promise\u201d is highlighted by our core value, \u201cWe Prayerfully Value Christ\u2019s Kingdom.\u201d As the fourth of seven core values, Christ\u2019s Kingdom<\/strong> is the \u201cdoor\u201d that connects the other core values. The first three– Scripture<\/em>, Pentecost,<\/em> and Holiness<\/em>, reflect the spiritual work of God in redeeming, sanctifying, and empowering us for service in the world. The final three– Every Generation<\/em>, Justice<\/em>, and Generosity<\/em>, are the daily outflowing of God\u2019s work in finding us as lost sheep, saving us, bringing us into His folds, and preparing us for His service.<\/p>\n

General Superintendent Dr. Doug Beacham encourages the IPHC family to join together for this special emphasis:<\/p>\n

“The IPHC is a part of the larger work of God’s righteous reign in and through the body of Christ and in the world. In 2017 we will learn what this means for how we live in the world, awaiting the return of the King of the Kingdom!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This year\u2019s focus will consist of four emphases:<\/p>\n

  1. \u201cThe kingdom of God is at hand.\u201d – Mark\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>1:15 <\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Focus: The biblical emphasis of the kingdom of God <\/em><\/p>\n

    1. \u201cThe kingdom of God is like\u2026\u201d – Matthew\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>13:24 <\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Focus: The signs and manifestations of the kingdom of God <\/em><\/p>\n

      \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

      1. \u201cBut seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.\u201d – Matthew\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>6:33<\/strong><\/em> \u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Focus: Extending the kingdom of God <\/em><\/p>\n

        1. \u201cWe are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken…\u201d – Hebrews\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>12:28 <\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Focus: Christ establishes the fullness of His kingdom when He returns<\/em><\/p>\n
