Talmadge Gardner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I was honored to serve as the presiding officer for the annual <strong>NORTHWEST LATIN CONFERENCE <\/strong>Saturday, April 8, 2017.\u00a0 The conference was hosted on the campus of the Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church in Sunnyside, Washington \u2013 what a beautiful church campus.<\/p>\n<p>True to their tradition, Bishop Prieto used Saturday morning for a time of personal training with his leaders.\u00a0 The annual Conference Business Session began at 1:30 p.m.\u00a0 There were 300 plus attendees present.\u00a0 In addition to the annual Conference Session, and on a parallel timeline, training\/ministry sessions were hosted for teens and children.<\/p>\n<p>In his State of the Conference Report, Bishop Prieto presented the conference with a statistical report that listed the names of thirty-seven (37) churches in addition to the tithing report of every credentialed clergy member. Meza<\/li>\n<li>Isaac Meza<\/li>\n<li>Gaby Najera<\/li>\n<li>Luis Najera<\/li>\n<li>Roberto P\u00e9rez<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Following the ordination service, former conference superintendent and current assistant conference superintendent, Rev. Trinidad Gutierrez, led the conference in honoring Bishop Eleuterio and Francisco Prieto.\u00a0 My heart was touched as each minster and spouse made personal presentations to the Prietos.\u00a0 The expressions were heartfelt and genuine.<\/p>\n<p>The conference concluded with a worship service.\u00a0 I was privileged to preach to 500 plus attendees.\u00a0 We concluded with a wonderful time of prayer and worship around the altar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I am indebted to my two translators \u2013 Rev. Trinidad Gutierrez and Rev. Jesus Arredondo.\u00a0 Two good men and good translators.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It was an honor as the presiding officer to recognize the following conference attendees and guests:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trinidad and Norma Gutierrez, former conference superintendent, General Board of Administration &amp; Council of Bishops member.<\/li>\n<li>Bishop Enrique Guillen, former conference superintendent &amp; General Board of Administration member<\/li>\n<li>Maria Rivera, former General Board of Administration member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>My schedule permitted me to stay over Saturday night and I was privileged to preach at Getsemani PHC, in Othello, Washington, for Bishop Gutierrez Sunday morning and then at Iglesia Roca de la Salvacion in Mattawa, Washington for Bishop Prieto on Sunday evening.\u00a0 In between services, I was invited to spend the afternoon at the Gutierrez\u2019s home.\u00a0 Trinidad and his wife, Norma, have always been so very kind to me.\u00a0 We attempted to watch some of the final round of the Master\u2019s golf tournament.\u00a0 He had never played or watched golf on television before and I was not the best commentator\/instructor.\u00a0 It did not take him long to fall asleep.<\/p>\n<p>I thank Bishop Eleuterio &amp; Francisco Prieto for the honor of serving them and our faith family in the Northwest Latin Conference.\u00a0 These family members are some of the most appreciative and loving people you will find anywhere in the IPHC.\u00a0 It is always a joy to serve them.\u00a0 I always leave the Northwest feeling refreshed in my spirit!<\/p>\n<p>The Northwest is burgeoning with kingdom potential.\u00a0 May the Holy Spirit anoint and empower the leadership and service of Bishop Prieto as he shepherds this part of our flock!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"excerpt","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":855,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_genesis_hide_title":false,"_genesis_hide_breadcrumbs":false,"_genesis_hide_singular_image":false,"_genesis_hide_footer_widgets":false,"_genesis_custom_body_class":"","_genesis_custom_post_class":"","_genesis_layout":"","episode_type":"","audio_file":"","cover_image":"","cover_image_id":"","duration":"","filesize":"","date_recorded":"","explicit":"","block":"","filesize_raw":"","jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[313,330,61,87,460,94],"class_list":{"0":"post-1275","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-general","8":"tag-313","9":"tag-annual-conference","10":"tag-april","11":"tag-conference-report","12":"tag-northwest-latin-conference","13":"tag-recap","14":"entry"},"title_es":"Al noroeste Conferencia Anual del Latin 2017 Informe","content_es":"<strong>Por el Obispo J. La conferencia fue organizada en el campus de la Iglesia Reformada Cristiana Sunnyside en Sunnyside, Washington - lo que es una hermosa iglesia campus. Fiel a su tradici\u00f3n, Obispo Prieto utiliza s\u00e1bado por la ma\u00f1ana durante un tiempo de entrenamiento personal con sus l\u00edderes. La Sesi\u00f3n Anual de Negocios Conferencia comenz\u00f3 a las 1:30 pm Hubo 300 asistentes m\u00e1s actuales. Adem\u00e1s de la sesi\u00f3n anual de la Conferencia, y en una l\u00ednea de tiempo paralelas, sesiones de formaci\u00f3n \/ ministerio fueron recibidos para adolescentes y ni\u00f1os. En su Informe Estado de la Conferencia, el obispo Prieto present\u00f3 la conferencia con un informe estad\u00edstico que se enumeran los nombres de treinta y siete (37) iglesias, adem\u00e1s del informe de diezmo de todos los miembros del clero con credenciales. Trinidad Gutierrez, llev\u00f3 a la conferencia en honor a obispo Eleuterio y Francisco Prieto. Mi coraz\u00f3n fue tocado, ya que cada c\u00f3nyuge Minster y realiz\u00f3 presentaciones personales a la Prieto. Las expresiones eran sincero y genuino. La conferencia concluy\u00f3 con un servicio de culto. Tuve el privilegio de predicar a 500 personas m\u00e1s. Concluimos con un tiempo maravilloso de la oraci\u00f3n y el culto en torno al altar. <strong>\u00a0<\/strong> Estoy en deuda con mis dos traductores - Rev. Trinidad Gutierrez y el Rev. Jesus Arredondo. Dos buenos hombres y traductores. <strong>Fue un honor que el Presidente de reconocer los siguientes asistentes a la conferencia e invitados:<\/strong> <ul><li> Trinidad y Norma Gutierrez, ex superintendente de la conferencia, Direcci\u00f3n General de Administraci\u00f3n y miembro del Consejo de Obispos. <\/li><li> Obispo Enrique Guillen, ex superintendente de la conferencia y Junta General de miembro de la Administraci\u00f3n <\/li><li> Maria Rivera, ex miembro de la Junta General de Administraci\u00f3n <\/li><\/ul> Mi horario me permiti\u00f3 permanecer durante la noche del s\u00e1bado y tuve el privilegio de predicar en Getsemani APS, en Othello, Washington, por el obispo Guti\u00e9rrez domingo por la ma\u00f1ana y luego en la Iglesia Roca de la Salvaci\u00f3n en Mattawa, Washington por el obispo Prieto el domingo por la noche. Entre los servicios, me invitaron a pasar la tarde en la casa del Guti\u00e9rrez. Trinidad y su esposa, Norma, siempre han sido muy amable conmigo. Hemos tratado de ver un poco de la ronda final del torneo de golf del Maestro. Nunca hab\u00eda jugado o visto en la televisi\u00f3n de golf antes y no fue el mejor comentarista \/ instructor. No tard\u00f3 mucho en dormirse. Agradezco a monse\u00f1or Eleuterio y Francisco Prieto por el honor de servir a ellos y nuestra familia fe en la Conferencia del noroeste de Am\u00e9rica. Estos miembros de la familia son algunas de las personas m\u00e1s agradecidos y amorosas que encontrar\u00e1 en cualquier parte del IISP. Siempre es una alegr\u00eda para servirlos. Siempre dejo la sensaci\u00f3n del noroeste refrescado en mi esp\u00edritu! El noroeste est\u00e1 creciendo con potencial reino.
