Talmadge Gardner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I had the distinct honor of serving as the presiding officer for the <strong>ROCKY MOUNTAIN ANNUAL CONFERENCE [RMC] Session, June 3, 2017<\/strong>.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>There were 92 registered delegates present at the start of the Conference Session at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The Conference was hosted at <em>The Healing Place<\/em> in Brighton, Colorado, (near Denver).\u00a0 <em>The Healing Place<\/em> is pastored by Rev. Joe and Irene Sanchez.\u00a0 Rev. Joe Sanchez is a member of the General Men\u2019s Ministries Board.\u00a0 He has also assisted Men\u2019s Ministries and its General Director, Rev. Bill Terry, with the translation of all Men\u2019s Ministries resources into Spanish.\u00a0 He is a super pastor and servant leader.\u00a0 The weekend also marked <em>The Healing Place\u2019s<\/em> transfer from an affiliate status relationship with RMC to member church status.\u00a0 <u>Pastor<\/u> Sanchez and <em>The Healing Place<\/em> make you feel proud to be a part of the IPHC.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, June 2, the Conference sponsored a morning of ministerial training for its conference leadership.\u00a0 Presenters were Rosie Olivas, Joe Sanchez, and Larry and June Herrera.\u00a0 RMC <u>first-lady<\/u>, Mrs. June Herrera, hosted a special Women\u2019s Leaders Luncheon with Mrs. Juanita Diaz as their speaker during the lunch hour break and then RMC celebrated with an afternoon Hispanic Service with special speaker, <u>Pastor<\/u> Adrian Olivas.\u00a0 A concluding celebration service, in which Bishop Herrera preached, took place that evening. The Annual Conference theme was: <em>\u2018A Body in Motion Stays in Motion<u>\u2019.<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Bishop Herrera\u2019s State of the Conference (SOC) Report provided attendees with a very forthright account of the state of the Rocky Mountain Conference.\u00a0 It included the following updates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>19<\/u> Member &amp; 5 Affiliate Churches<\/li>\n<li><u>49<\/u> Ordained and 11 Licensed Ministers<\/li>\n<li>Total Church Membership of 1,200 Members<\/li>\n<li>Addressed the ministerial tithe situation<\/li>\n<li>Provided attendees with an update on several church openings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In concluding his SOC report, Bishop Herrera stated:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>It is time to grow:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rejoicing through the pain of pruning.\u00a0 If you can recall, I addressed this conference in 2015 about what the Lord had been impressing on my heart.\u00a0 The summer of 2014 God began to show me that for this conference to grow it would have to go through a pruning process.\u00a0 Although slow and extremely painful, I believe we will start seeing the benefits from this time forward.<\/p>\n<p>The pruning comes in three different ways:\u00a0 Removal, Attrition and Mutual Agreement.\u00a0 Jesus said, \u2018I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.\u00a0 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit; while every branch that does bear fruit, he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.\u00a0 The goal of the RMC has always been to build the kingdom through healthy churches, ministries, and ministers.\u00a0 Bearing good fruit, fruit that lasts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We are in a good place:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have pastors that are compliant.\u00a0 We have young men and women that understand the meaning of teamwork, and we have constituents that have a place where they feel at home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This Conference historically provides their Council Members and Ministry Directors with the privilege of reporting in writing and orally to the Conference.\u00a0 I am always impressed by their vision, passion, and the timeliness in which they do this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clergy credentials were issued as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Ordination (7)<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rev. Paul Clark, former Conference Superintendent, GBA and COB Member.\u00a0 Mrs. Verna Clark was not present.\u00a0 Please continue to keep Verna in your prayers.\u00a0 Probably one of the most loved ladies in the IPHC.<\/li>\n<li>Rev. Brian and Carol Burgess, former IPHC Missionaries to South Africa and Zambia<\/li>\n<li>Rev. Tyler and Laura Clark, former IPHC Missionaries to Japan<\/li>\n<li>Rev. Dawn Lubin, former IPHC Missionary to South Africa and the Ivory Coast<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In its Memoirs report, the Conference in session paid special tribute to Rev. Clifford M. Talmadge Gardner<\/strong> Me sent\u00ed honrado de servir como presidente de la conferencia anual <strong>NORTHWEST LATIN<\/strong> S\u00e1bado, 8 de abril de 2017. La conferencia fue organizada en el campus de la Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church en Sunnyside, Washington - qu\u00e9 hermosa iglesia campus. Fiel a su tradici\u00f3n, el obispo Prieto us\u00f3 el s\u00e1bado por la ma\u00f1ana para un tiempo de entrenamiento personal con sus l\u00edderes. La Sesi\u00f3n de Negocios anual de la Conferencia comenz\u00f3 a la 1:30 pm Hab\u00eda 300 asistentes m\u00e1s presentes. Adem\u00e1s de la Sesi\u00f3n anual de la Conferencia, y en un cronograma paralelo, se organizaron sesiones de capacitaci\u00f3n \/ ministerio para adolescentes y ni\u00f1os. En su Informe sobre el Estado de la Conferencia, el obispo Prieto present\u00f3 a la conferencia un informe estad\u00edstico que enumera los nombres de treinta y siete (37) iglesias adem\u00e1s del reporte del diezmo de cada miembro del clero con credenciales. Trinidad Guti\u00e9rrez, dirigi\u00f3 la conferencia en honor a Mons. Eleuterio y Francisco Prieto. Mi coraz\u00f3n fue tocado como cada minster y esposo hizo presentaciones personales a los Prietos. Las expresiones eran sinceras y genuinas. La conferencia concluy\u00f3 con un servicio de adoraci\u00f3n. Tuve el privilegio de predicar a m\u00e1s de 500 asistentes. Concluimos con un maravilloso tiempo de oraci\u00f3n y adoraci\u00f3n alrededor del altar. <strong>\u00a0<\/strong> Estoy en deuda con mis dos traductores - el Rev. Trinidad Guti\u00e9rrez y el Rev. Jes\u00fas Arredondo. Dos hombres buenos y buenos traductores. <strong>Fue un honor como oficial de la presidencia reconocer a los siguientes asistentes a la conferencia e invitados:<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Trinidad y Norma Guti\u00e9rrez, ex superintendente de la conferencia, Junta General de Administraci\u00f3n y miembro del Consejo de Obispos.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Mons. Enrique Guillen, ex superintendente de la conferencia y miembro de la Junta General de Administraci\u00f3n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Maria Rivera, ex miembro de la Junta General de Administraci\u00f3n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nMi horario me permiti\u00f3 quedarme el s\u00e1bado por la noche y tuve el privilegio de predicar en Getsemani PHC, en Othello, Washington, para el obispo Guti\u00e9rrez el domingo por la ma\u00f1ana y luego en la Iglesia Roca de la Salvaci\u00f3n en Mattawa, Washington para el obispo Prieto. Entre los servicios, me invitaron a pasar la tarde en la casa de Guti\u00e9rrez. Trinidad y su esposa, Norma, siempre han sido muy amables conmigo. Intentamos ver algunos de la ronda final del torneo de golf del Maestro. \u00c9l nunca hab\u00eda jugado o visto el golf en la televisi\u00f3n antes y yo no era el mejor comentarista \/ instructor. No tard\u00f3 mucho en quedarse dormido. Doy las gracias al Obispo Eleuterio y Francisco Prieto por el honor de servirles a ellos ya nuestra familia de fe en la Conferencia del Noroeste Latino. Estos miembros de la familia son algunas de las personas m\u00e1s apreciativas y cari\u00f1osas que encontrar\u00e1 en cualquier parte de la IPHC. Siempre es una alegr\u00eda servirles. Siempre me dejo sentir la sensaci\u00f3n del noroeste en mi esp\u00edritu!
