Talmadge Gardner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I was honored beyond measure to serve Bishop Doyle &amp; Sherrill Marley and the members of the Cornerstone Conference as their presiding officer on Friday, June 9, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Cornerstone is my \u201chome\u201d conference.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>I was both licensed as a minister in 1981 and ordained in 1983 by the Cornerstone Conference.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>My father joined the Cornerstone Conference in 1952 and my mother has been a member since 1957.\u00a0 We only have one lamb outside of the Cornerstone \u2018ark of safety\u2019 in our immediate Gardner family.\u00a0 My little brother is credentialed with the South Carolina Conference and seconded to Tennessee Valley.\u00a0 Mom and I continue to pray for him!<\/p>\n<p>The conference convened at 9 a.m. on the campus of the Cornerstone Conference, which is in Browns Summit, North Carolina, (outside of Greensboro). The recent renovations to the platform area have made the auditorium very attractive.<\/p>\n<p>Our enrollment at the beginning of the conference numbered 319 registered delegates in addition to many visitors in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Marley highlighted segments of his printed State of the Conference Report in his passionate address to the conference.\u00a0 His report covered the ministry success of many of Cornerstone\u2019s ministries; Evangelism, Hispanic Ministries [introduced the new full-time ministry director, Rev. Joel Pava and his wife Gabriela], World Missions, Discipleship Ministries, Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s Ministries, Biblical Ministries Institute, introduction of their new Ministerial Continuing Education Program [MCEP], Next Generation emphasis and an updating of their \u201cCore Values.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With his evangelistic fervor, Bishop Marley concluded with the following remarks\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast week right after our Pre-Pentecost services I was awakened early in the morning thinking about this report and the challenges we are facing and suddenly the words of a great hymn came to my mind:<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;<br \/>\nHe is trampling out the vintage where The Grapes of Wrath are stored;<br \/>\nHe hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:<br \/>\nHis truth is marching on.<\/p>\n<p>He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;<br \/>\nHe is sitting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat;<br \/>\nOh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! Be jubilant, my feet!<br \/>\nOur God is marching on.<\/p>\n<p>Glory, glory, hallelujah!<br \/>\nGlory, glory, hallelujah!<br \/>\nGlory, glory, hallelujah!<br \/>\nOur God is marching on!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>I am calling on Cornerstone today \u2013 let\u2019s stand up against the darkness, conflict, and confusion of our day and \u2018march on\u2019 following the trumpet that will never sound retreat letting our light shine as never that \u2018men will see our good works and glorify our Father who is in heaven\u2019. I refuse to be discouraged over the gathering clouds of darkness because I believe we are on the winning side and our Heavenly Father has some great things in mind for the people and churches of Cornerstone.\u00a0 Join me in this next 12 months as we move toward His will and purposes for each of us as individuals and collectively as a conference.\u00a0 Let us do all we can to see that our IPHC vision becomes a reality as we become a \u2018Place of Hope\u2019 and a \u2018People of Promise.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Marley also honored the members of Cornerstone\u2019s administrative team\u2014Darrell Gaines, Tennille Nichols, Trisha Ainsworth, LeAnn West and Betsy Abbott\u2014for their efforts in serving the conference daily and in preparing for the conference session.\u00a0 If you ever have the privilege of working with them they are a very special team.<\/p>\n<p>The conference in session did conduct one business item; a proposal from the Conference Executive Committee regarding the 2018 Nominating Committee.\u00a0 The proposal was adopted unanimously.<\/p>\n<p>The Cornerstone Conference has developed a <em>model<\/em> ministerial and pastoral training\/developmental program called the Biblical Ministries Institute.\u00a0 Rev. Garry Yeatts serves as the Director of this Institute.\u00a0 The fruit that this institute continues to yield holds great promise for the future of this conference.\u00a0 There was a powerful sense of God\u2019s presence in both the licensing and ordination services.<\/p>\n<h2>The Memoirs Report was presented in a video format.\u00a0 Those lovingly memorialized were:<\/h2>\n<h2><em>Deceased Ministers (3)<\/em><\/h2>\n<h2>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rev. Talmadge Gardner<\/strong> tuve el distinto honor de servir como presidente de la <strong>ROCKY MOUNTAIN ANNUAL CONFERENCE [RMC] Session, 3 de junio de 2017<\/strong> . <strong>\u00a0 <\/strong> Hubo 92 delegados registrados presentes al comienzo de la sesi\u00f3n de la Conferencia a las 9 de la ma\u00f1ana. La conferencia se realiz\u00f3 en <em>el lugar de curaci\u00f3n<\/em> en Brighton, Colorado (cerca de Denver). <em>El Lugar de Curaci\u00f3n<\/em> es pastoreado por el Rev. Joe e Irene S\u00e1nchez. El Rev. Joe S\u00e1nchez es miembro de la Junta General de Ministerios de Hombres. Tambi\u00e9n ha ayudado a Ministerios de Hombres ya su Director General, Rev. El objetivo del CMR ha sido siempre construir el reino a trav\u00e9s de iglesias, ministerios y ministros saludables. Tener buena fruta, fruta que dura. <strong>Estamos en un buen lugar:<\/strong> tenemos pastores que cumplen. Tenemos hombres y mujeres j\u00f3venes que entienden el significado del trabajo en equipo y tenemos constituyentes que tienen un lugar donde se sienten en casa \". Esta Conferencia hist\u00f3ricamente provee a sus Miembros del Consejo y Directores de Ministerio el privilegio de reportar por escrito y oralmente a la Conferencia .
