For over one hundred years, the men and women of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church have gathered every four years to do the business of the church. This year, we gather in Orlando, Florida, July 26-28, to continue this important part of our denominational life.<\/p>\n

The Council of Bishops is thankful for the men and women who have served on the General Conference committees. They have diligently prayed, discussed, and determined the proposals in each report. In particular, the IPHC is grateful to the chairs of these committees: Bishop Ray Willis (Decorum Committee), Bishop Tom Murray (Credentials Committee), and Rev. Bob Ely (Bylaws Committee).<\/p>\n

In Orlando, we will consider, debate, and determine the polity of the IPHC that will govern us for the next four years. In particular, the Bylaws Report will guide our operations on the general church level, the conference level, and the local church level. When completed on July 28th, this document will be the instrument the Holy Spirit will use in our administration, our accountability to one another, and legal protection for our ministers, members, and properties.<\/p>\n

Thank you for your prayerful consideration of these reports. General Conference will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26th, with Holy Communion. We know the Holy Spirit will meet with us and guide us in the election of the four offices of the Executive Committee and in the important business in these reports:<\/p>\n

Durante m\u00e1s de cien a\u00f1os, los hombres y mujeres de la Iglesia Internacional de Santidad Pentecostal se han reunido cada cuatro a\u00f1os para hacer los negocios de la iglesia. Este a\u00f1o, nos reunimos en Orlando, Florida, del 26 al 28 de julio, para continuar esta importante parte de nuestra vida denominacional.<\/p>\r\n

El Consejo de Obispos agradece a los hombres y mujeres que han servido en los comit\u00e9s de la Conferencia General. Ellos han orado diligentemente, discutido y determinado las propuestas en cada informe. En particular, la IPHC agradece a los presidentes de estas comisiones: el obispo Ray Willis (comit\u00e9 de la condecoraci\u00f3n), el obispo Tom Murray (comit\u00e9 de credenciales) y el reverendo Bob Ely (comit\u00e9 de estatutos).<\/p>\r\n

En Orlando, consideraremos, debatiremos y determinaremos la pol\u00edtica de la IPHC que nos regir\u00e1 durante los pr\u00f3ximos cuatro a\u00f1os. En particular, el Reporte de Estatutos guiar\u00e1 nuestras operaciones en el nivel general de la iglesia, el nivel de la conferencia y el nivel de la iglesia local. Cuando se complete el 28 de julio, este documento ser\u00e1 el instrumento que el Esp\u00edritu Santo usar\u00e1 en nuestra administraci\u00f3n, nuestra responsabilidad mutua y protecci\u00f3n legal para nuestros ministros, miembros y propiedades.<\/p>\r\n

La Conferencia General comenzar\u00e1 a las 9 de la ma\u00f1ana del mi\u00e9rcoles 26 de julio con la Santa Comuni\u00f3n. Sabemos que el Esp\u00edritu Santo se reunir\u00e1 con nosotros y nos guiar\u00e1 en la elecci\u00f3n de las cuatro oficinas del Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo y en el importante asunto de estos informes:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
