And the government will be upon His shoulder. <\/em><\/p>\n

And His name will be called<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, <\/em><\/p>\n

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. <\/em><\/p>\n

Of the increase of His government and peace <\/em><\/p>\n

There will be no end, <\/em><\/p>\n

Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, <\/em><\/p>\n

To order it and establish it with judgment and justice <\/em><\/p>\n

From that time forward, even forever. <\/em><\/p>\n

The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Isaiah 9:6-7<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this third week of Advent, Presiding Bishop Doug Beacham reflects on the babe who came to fulfill the law and the prophets, who came to bring about God\u2019s purposes through the promises to Abraham. \u201cHe is a wonder of a counselor. He is that counselor that stands in His testimony, His witness of who He is as the risen Lord, the coming King. He stands before all nations, all the rulers, every person and brings about and announces the reality of the coming kingdom of God.\u201d<\/p>\n

He is the Mighty God. The Almighty One, who is always with you.<\/p>\n

He is the Everlasting Father. The loving Abba Father who loves us and wants us to come back home.<\/p>\n

He is the Prince of Peace. The One who is our Shalom, our perfect peace.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On this third week of Advent, let us give thanks for who Jesus is.

El nost\u00e1lgico villancico de Navidad, O Little Town of Bethlehem<\/em> , nos trae a la mente un pintoresco pesebre en un peque\u00f1o pueblo. Aunque Bel\u00e9n ahora es bastante diferente, jug\u00f3 un papel importante en el nacimiento de Jes\u00fas. Hoy, uno debe viajar a trav\u00e9s de los puestos de control militar para llegar all\u00ed; las estimaciones son que solo el 12% de la poblaci\u00f3n afirma ser cristianos. Este no es un lugar donde Jes\u00fas es reconocido como el Hijo de Dios, excepto entre los fieles creyentes que son perseverantes.<\/p>\r\n

Sin embargo, Dios en Sus prop\u00f3sitos siempre nos sorprende. Utiliza los menos lugares en los ojos del mundo para hacerlos muy importantes a los ojos de la eternidad. Bel\u00e9n significa \"casa de pan\". Jes\u00fas dijo que \u00e9l era el pan de vida. \u00c9l satisface el hambre y la sed de nuestra alma. \u00a8En los peque\u00f1os lugares de tu vida ... puedes descubrir que el Esp\u00edritu Santo est\u00e1 trabajando en los lugares peque\u00f1os para manifestar la grandeza de Su amor, Su gloria y Sus prop\u00f3sitos para tu vida.
