Multiple Denominations, Church Networks, Para-Church Ministries Partner to Mobilize Millions for 2020 Outreach<\/p>\n
New Orleans, LA. \u2013 In an unprecedented move of unity, multiple member denominations, church networks and parachurch ministries in the Pentecostal Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA) have partnered with Global Outreach Day to mobilize 100 million Christians to reach lost people for Christ. Branding their outreach as Miracle in May 2020<\/em>, PCCNA churches and ministries have committed to a three-year prayer, care, share lifestyle in anticipation of sharing their faith with unbelievers.<\/p>\n Global Outreach Day, a growing worldwide evangelistic effort, focuses on sharing Christ the final Saturday of May each year. PCCNA has expanded that vision to include the entire month of May, which will provide pastors and leaders three year’s lead time to train and equip congregants for one-on-one witnessing.<\/p>\n Jeff Farmer, president of PCCNA and a former denominational leader, noted: \u201cDenominations need time to integrate vision into their corporate cultures before they can act. In addition, a single day is not realistic for many pastors and congregants. Give them an entire month, however, and they will find a way to do something majestic for Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n PCCNA is building toward May 2020 by giving each year a different emphasis: 2018 Year of Prayer; 2019 Year of Care; 2020 Year to Share. Farmer added, \u201cMiracle in May 2020 is an appointment with destiny for the least, the last, and the lost. It will be a turning point of transformation for the broken, battered and bruised\u2026and a moment of miracles for the hurting, the hopeless and the homeless.\u201d<\/p>\n PCCNA\u2019s last three-year effort was fighting the war against malaria. \u201cTogether we sent a million dollars of insecticide-treated bed nets to protect and save children and their families,\u201d said Farmer. \u201cA longitudinal follow-up study revealed cases of malaria were reduced by over 50% where the nets were distributed in systematic fashion accompanied by training. Right now \u2013 today \u2013 there are thousands of children romping an playing in sub-Saharan Africa, safe and alive, because together we \u2018Demonstrated Unity in the Power of the Spirit.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n International Pentecostal Holiness Church General Superintendent Doug Beacham said, \u201cWe know that as a movement we need a toolkit to equip our members for evangelism.
