McGhee<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/IMG_8493.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2112\" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/IMG_8493.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/IMG_8493.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/IMG_8493-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/IMG_8493-768x523.jpg 768w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/IMG_8493-1024x698.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/IMG_8493-200x136.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>On Saturday, May 29, 2018, I was blessed to be with Bishop Randell Drake and the ministers and members of New Horizons Ministries.\u00a0We gathered at Spirit Life Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.\u00a0More than 300 were in attendance with 290 registered delegates.\u00a0The day began with Bishop Randell Drake leading in the celebration of the \u201cLord\u2019s Supper.\u201d\u00a0I shared the presentation of our Core Value for 2018, \u201cWe Prayerfully Value All Generations.\u201d\u00a0After the presentation and approval of the Decorum, Delegate Certification, and Clergy Credentials Committee Report, I shared scripture and a charge to the newly licensed ministers.\u00a0Bishop Drake presented his personal report and then a video of the State of the Conference Report.\u00a0 He reported a conference membership of over 9,000 in 79 churches and 3 satellites. \u00a0He also reported the addition of 3 new churches.\u00a0 Each member of the Conference Executive Council reported and shared whether they were open to serving another term.<\/p>\n<p>We began consideration of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee Reports at 11:20 a.m.\u00a0 After the completion of the section regarding officers of the conference, we began the election process.\u00a0 When Bishop Randell Drake was nominated, the conference delegates cast a yes\/no\u00a0ballot for the required 2\/3 vote to allow his name to be placed in nomination.\u00a0 Bishop Drake received the required 2\/3 and with two names on the ballot, he received a majority vote.\u00a0 Bishop Drake now begins his fifth term as Superintendent.\u00a0 The following election results were completed throughout the afternoon: Norman Wilkie (Assistant Superintendent),\u00a0Elvin Sills, Becky Watkins, Robert Ware, Neil Barlow, and Greg Aery.<\/p>\n<p>Other items of business included approval of all reports, School of Ministry graduation ceremony, church awards, pastor\/minister book presentations, and ministerial service awards.\u00a0 The Memoirs Report was presented by video.\u00a0It was a special honor to lead in the Ordination Service for the following ministers: Johnathan Lane Emery, Jeffrey Glenn Enkey, Debra Lou Doherty, Dan Wayne McDonald, Jerry Dale Orsburn, Pamela Anne Shipley, and Visia Elaine Sweat.<\/p>\n<p>The day of quadrennial business concluded with the installation of the Conference Executive Council.\u00a0 Congratulations and blessings to this team as they lead New Horizons Ministries into the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"excerpt","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":855,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_genesis_hide_title":false,"_genesis_hide_breadcrumbs":false,"_genesis_hide_singular_image":false,"_genesis_hide_footer_widgets":false,"_genesis_custom_body_class":"","_genesis_custom_post_class":"","_genesis_layout":"","episode_type":"","audio_file":"","cover_image":"","cover_image_id":"","duration":"","filesize":"","date_recorded":"","explicit":"","block":"","filesize_raw":"","jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[510,330,87,318,468,94],"class_list":{"0":"post-2105","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-general","8":"tag-510","9":"tag-annual-conference","10":"tag-conference-report","11":"tag-may","12":"tag-new-horizons-ministries","13":"tag-recap","14":"entry"},"title_es":"2018 Northwest Latin Conference Report","content_es":"<strong>Por el Dr. AD Beacham, Jr. Funcionario a<\/strong> cargo Fue una alegr\u00eda estar con los 98 delegados y m\u00e1s de 100 visitantes que asistieron a la Conferencia Cuaternaria del Noroeste Latino en Sunnyside, Washington, el 14 de abril de 2018. El este de Washington se destaca por su agricultura. Conduciendo a trav\u00e9s del hermoso paisaje uno ve millas de huertos que comienzan a florecer. Cuando est\u00e1 despejado, Mount Rainer es visible hacia el oeste. Hubo emoci\u00f3n cuando los delegados y visitantes llenaron el auditorio de la iglesia. Muchos pastores pasaron tiempo con el reverendo Stephen Hanscom, quien estuvo presente representando el Fondo de Pr\u00e9stamo de Extensi\u00f3n de IPHC. La conferencia comenz\u00f3 el viernes por la noche con un emotivo serm\u00f3n del obispo Eleuterio Prieto. La iglesia estuvo llena esa noche con m\u00e1s de trescientas personas presentes. La sesi\u00f3n del s\u00e1bado por la ma\u00f1ana comenz\u00f3 con un mensaje devocional de la ex superintendente de la conferencia y actual miembro del consejo Rev. Trinidad Guti\u00e9rrez. Despu\u00e9s de su mensaje, el Obispo Presidente Beacham fue presentado y convoc\u00f3 la sesi\u00f3n de negocios. Fue un honor reconocer a los siguientes presentes en la reuni\u00f3n: el reverendo Enrique Guillen (ex superintendente de la conferencia), la reverenda Trinidad Guti\u00e9rrez (ex superintendente de la conferencia), la se\u00f1ora Mar\u00eda Rivera (ex directora de la conferencia del Ministerio de Educaci\u00f3n de la Iglesia y miembro del Junta CEM). Los siguientes informes fueron le\u00eddos y aprobados: Decorum y Credenciales. El Obispo Beacham present\u00f3 al Superintendente de la Conferencia Prieto para el Informe del Estado de la Conferencia. Fue inspirador escuchar que Northwest Latin ahora tiene seis congregaciones en Seattle, Washington. Hay 35 congregaciones en 15 condados en 4 estados (Washington, Oregon, Utah e Idaho). Los esfuerzos iniciales han comenzado a plantar nuevas congregaciones en Spokane, Washington, y otra congregaci\u00f3n en Oregon. Se ley\u00f3 el Informe de Resoluciones y se adopt\u00f3 la parte que trata de la estructura de la conferencia. Las elecciones comenzaron para el Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo de la Conferencia y los resultados son los siguientes: El Obispo Eleuterio Prieto reelegido Superintendente de la Conferencia La Rev. Trinidad Guti\u00e9rrez fue elegida Asistente del Superintendente Rev. Jos\u00e9 Luis M\u00e1rquez reelegido como Secretario \/ Tesorero Rev. Jes\u00fas Arrendondo reelegido como Miembro del Consejo Rev. Luis Ruiz elegido como Miembro del Consejo Despu\u00e9s de la elecci\u00f3n del Consejo de la Conferencia, el Obispo Beacham instal\u00f3 a la nueva junta elegida, record\u00e1ndoles su fidelidad a Dios, las ense\u00f1anzas de la Biblia, el Manual de IPHC y la visi\u00f3n, misi\u00f3n, valores centrales y objetivos de la IPHC. La conferencia se suspendi\u00f3 para el almuerzo y se volvi\u00f3 a convocar a las 2 pm Los siguientes fueron elegidos para servir como directores de varios ministerios de conferencia: Evangelismo, Rodolfo Mesa; Misiones Mundiales, Jorge Estrada; Discipulado, Juan Arteaga; Oraci\u00f3n intercesora, Arnulfo Estrada; Men's Ministries, Jose Moreno; y Ministerios de la Mujer, Norma Guti\u00e9rrez. Siguiendo el negocio, el Obispo Beacham present\u00f3 el video y el tema del valor central de 2018, \"Valoramos con oraci\u00f3n a todas las generaciones\", el video promocional de la Conferencia Hispana de julio en Oklahoma City, y el video Arise 2033. Connecting Generations with Arise 2033, Beacham present\u00f3 los objetivos de Arise 2033 con un enfoque especial en el territorio de NW Latin. Este a\u00f1o no hubo candidatos para obtener una licencia u orden, ya que los candidatos a\u00fan est\u00e1n en sus fases preparatorias.
