{"id":2287,"date":"2018-06-15T16:21:24","date_gmt":"2018-06-15T16:21:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/?p=2287"},"modified":"2018-06-15T17:09:43","modified_gmt":"2018-06-15T17:09:43","slug":"rocky-mountain-quadrennial-conference-report-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/2018\/06\/15\/rocky-mountain-quadrennial-conference-report-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Rocky Mountain Quadrennial Conference Report 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Bishop Garry Bryant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Rocky Mountain Conference held their Quadrennial Conference June 7\u20139, in Brighton, Colorado, at The Healing Place Church.\u00a0 Pastor Joe Sanchez, his leadership, and church family served as great hosts for the gathering.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday evening, June 7, the conference gathered for an evening of worship and word.\u00a0 Bishop Herrera shared a message and challenged us with the theme of this year\u2019s conference, \u201c<em>Let the Church Arise, Let the People Rejoice<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0 The message was encouraging, challenging, and well received.<\/p>\n<p>Friday was a day of training and concluded with our evening service that centered around the emphasis that we must return back to the priority of prayer.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, June 9, the Quadrennial Conference convened.\u00a0 There was a wonderful atmosphere of fellowship and harmony.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Herrera provided the State of the Conference report that included past progress and present challenges as well as a commitment to growth and advancement.<\/p>\n<p>We are believing with the Rocky Mountain Conference for increase, taking of new territory, and strengthening of their present ministry presence.<\/p>\n<p>Special guests:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paul Clark \u2013 former conference superintendent (Please be encouraged to continue in prayer for Verna Clark, Brother Paul\u2019s wife.\u00a0 We need a miracle.)<\/li>\n<li>Pastor Joe Sanchez \u2013 member of the National Men\u2019s Ministries Board (host church pastor)<\/li>\n<li>Stephen Hanscom \u2013 vice president, Extension Loan Fund (Rocky Mountain is Stephen\u2019s home conference.)<\/li>\n<li>Pastor Guillermo Rivera \u2013 district director for ACTS2Day (Pastor G. ministered to the Hispanic constituency Friday afternoon.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The conference selected their Council for this Quadrennium:<\/p>\n<p>Superintendent:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bishop Larry Herrera &#8211; Siempre disfrutamos la oportunidad de estar de vuelta en Virginia y de visitar nuestra conferencia en casa. El Obispo Birt, su equipo administrativo y el Consejo de la Conferencia ofrecieron un excelente evento de dos d\u00edas. El viernes 1 de junio fue un d\u00eda de entrenamiento.
