{"id":2848,"date":"2018-09-19T10:38:17","date_gmt":"2018-09-19T15:38:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/?p=2848"},"modified":"2018-09-19T10:45:27","modified_gmt":"2018-09-19T15:45:27","slug":"lifepoint-ministries-quadrennial-conference-report-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/2018\/09\/19\/lifepoint-ministries-quadrennial-conference-report-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"LifePoint Ministries Quadrennial Conference Report 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By\u00a0Bishop Garry Bryant,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Presiding Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>What a great day<\/em>\u2026one of the comments and observations made after the conclusion of the LifePoint Ministries Quadrennial Conference.<\/p>\n<p>It was my honor to serve the family of LifePoint this past Saturday.\u00a0 We gathered in the Swails Center on the beautiful campus of Emmanuel College.\u00a0 A delegation of 145 and many guests joined together for the duties and privileges of the day.<\/p>\n<p>The conference was filled with energy, cooperation, and an obvious spirit of unity and anticipation.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Tim Lamb, the LifePoint Conference Council, and their team were well prepared and served in an extraordinary fashion.<\/p>\n<p>Tina Anderson, administrative assistant, and Erica Campbell, event coordinator, were exceptional in providing quality care and order during the day.<\/p>\n<p>The conference began with a special time of worship lead by Tr\u00e9s Ward and the presentation of the 2018 core value \u2013 <em>We Prayerfully Value All Generations<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Lamb provided a quality State of the Conference Report with an emphasis on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Expanding Kingdom Life<\/li>\n<li>Inspiring Leaders to Serve<\/li>\n<li>Enriching Through Relationships<\/li>\n<li>Empowering for Influence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bishop expressed his deep and sincere gratitude for the many who have served and contributed to the ministry efforts of LifePoint over the past four years.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Lamb and his dear wife, Carissa, are a wonderful representation of the leadership of IPHC (on a side note \u2026 Mrs. Lamb gifted me with a Georgia Bulldogs coffee mug, along with a lot of other goodies in a hospitality basket. I cannot wait to visit Bishop Beacham\u2019s office with my new coffee container). Thank you!<\/p>\n<p>The committee reports and business session of the Quadrennial Conference flowed very smoothly and were evidence of excellence in preparation and presentation.<\/p>\n<p>The following individuals were selected to serve as the LifePoint Conference Council for the next four years:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tim Lamb \u2013 Superintendent<\/li>\n<li>Jeff Thomas \u2013 Assistant Superintendent<\/li>\n<li>Brian Williams \u2013 Secretary and Treasurer<\/li>\n<li>Council Members:\u00a0 Brian James, Trey Jones, Chris Maxwell, and Rick Womack<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/09\/1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2875 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/09\/1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/09\/1.png 691w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/09\/1-300x220.png 300w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/09\/1-200x147.png 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>Congratulations to this tremendous group of leaders and it is obvious that LifePoint Ministries is in good hands.<\/p>\n<p>There was a consistent theme throughout the day that this was a significant occasion and season&#8211;a positive inflection point for LifePoint!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Credentials were granted to the following:<\/p>\n<p><u>Ordination<\/u>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rev. James Wilson<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Transferred in Licensed<\/u>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rev. Callie Sorrow<\/li>\n<li>Rev. Summer Sneed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There were many very special guests (I felt like I was in the company of a <em>Who\u2019s Who of the IPHC).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Former LifePoint conference superintendents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rev. Keith Hearn<\/li>\n<li>Rev. John Ingham<\/li>\n<li>Rev. Bill Jones<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rev. D. Chris Thompson, president of Holmes Bible College and former executive director of EVUSA<\/p>\n<p>Rev. Ron White. president of Emmanuel College<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Brenda Phillips,\u00a0IPHC chief financial officer<\/p>\n<p>Rev. Matt Bennett, Southwestern University Graduate School director<\/p>\n<p>Rev. (Colonel) Hugh Morgan, former director of Chaplains Ministries, IPHC and editor of Hugh\u2019s News<\/p>\n<p>There were many other notable guest and attendees.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Lamb extended congratulations and awards to several churches that had achieved measurable and set growth goals.<\/p>\n<p>Rev.
