Douglas Beacham, Jr.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the conviction that the Holy Spirit is calling us to be a Place of Hope<br \/>\nand a People of Promise, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church<br \/>\nis crying out to God for revival among the peoples of the world!<br \/>\nHistory reveals that every great spiritual awakening was preceded by a<br \/>\ntime of intense prayer and fasting. That formula remains the same!<br \/>\nIt is still true that \u201cIf my people, which are called by my name, shall<br \/>\nhumble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from<br \/>\ntheir wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will<br \/>\nforgive their sin, and will heal their land\u201d (2 Chronicles 7:14).<\/p>\n<p>Jesus declared that some things \u201ccan come forth by<br \/>\nnothing, but by prayer and fasting\u201d (Mark 9:29). The local church<br \/>\nwas intended to be \u201ca house of prayer for all nations\u201d (Mark 11:17).<br \/>\nWe must ask the sobering questions; are we a house of sermons,<br \/>\na house of songs, a house of programs, or a house of prayer?<br \/>\nThe church is never taller than when it is on its\u2019 knees and<br \/>\nnever stronger than when it is prostrate in prayer! We must become<br \/>\nwhat we were intended to be, houses of prayer for all nations!<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nAs Presiding Bishop of the International Pentecostal<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Holiness Church, and as we enter into a year where our<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>attention is on the ministries of the Holy Spirit,<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>I hereby declare a time of prayer and fasting for 7 days,<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>from January 11-17, 2015.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThis call to prayer and fasting is made to all constituents of the IPHC,<br \/>\nnot just a select group known as intercessors. Our denomination is<br \/>\njoining many other denominations and church organizations<br \/>\nin periods of prayer and fasting. We are convinced that<br \/>\nthe flood of God\u2019s miracle working power flows mightily<br \/>\nthrough the channels of prayer and fasting.
