{"id":4103,"date":"2019-07-15T21:34:36","date_gmt":"2019-07-16T02:34:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/?p=4103"},"modified":"2019-07-15T21:53:02","modified_gmt":"2019-07-16T02:53:02","slug":"rocky-mountain-annual-conference-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/2019\/07\/15\/rocky-mountain-annual-conference-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Rocky Mountain Annual Conference Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had the distinct honor of serving as the presiding officer for the Rocky Mountain Annual Conference (RMC) session on June 8, 2019.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Conference was hosted at Trinity Christian Fellowship in Northglenn, Colorado (near Denver).\u00a0Trinity Christian Fellowship is pastored by Rev. Brian and Carol Burgess. Brian Burgess was converted under my father\u2019s ministry in South Africa in 1957.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Herrera\u2019s State of the Conference Report included the following updates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Active Ordained Ministers &#8211; 38\/48<\/li>\n<li>Active Licensed Ministers &#8211; 4\/6<\/li>\n<li>Active Licensed Ministers of Music &#8211; 2<\/li>\n<li>18 Member Churches. \u00a0Seventeen of the 18 member churches tithed or gave a partial tithe.<\/li>\n<li>3 Affiliate Churches. \u00a0Two of the three affiliate churches tithe.<\/li>\n<li>30 of their 48 ministers gave a full or partial tithe.<\/li>\n<li>Total Church Membership of 1,200 members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In continuing his State of the Conference Report, Bishop Herrera stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOur vision is to take back our communities.\u00a0 The Nehemiah Principle:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire. (Chapter 1)<\/li>\n<li>He had to see for himself \u2013 his eyes were opened to the devastation (Chapter 2)<\/li>\n<li>Rebuilding the wall (Chapter 3)<\/li>\n<li>Defending against the enemies (Chapter 4)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It has taken a while but I believe I have an excellent pastoral staff and ministry leadership team.
