\"Fasting<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>“With the conviction that the Holy Spirit is calling us to be a Place of Hope and a People of Promise, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church is crying out to God for revival among the peoples of the world! History reveals that every great spiritual awakening was preceded by a time of intense prayer and fasting. That formula remains the same! It is still true that \u201cIf my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land\u201d (2 Chronicles 7:14).<\/p>\n

Jesus declared that some things \u201ccan come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting\u201d (Mark 9:29). The local church was intended to be \u201ca house of prayer for all nations\u201d (Mark 11:17). We must ask the sobering questions; are we a house of sermons, a house of songs, a house of programs, or a house of prayer? The church is never taller than when it is on its\u2019 knees and never stronger than when it is prostrate in prayer! We must become what we were intended to be, houses of prayer for all nations!<\/p>\n

As Presiding Bishop of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, and as we enter into a year where we focus our attention on holiness, I hereby declare a time of prayer and fasting for 21 days, from January 10-31, 2016. This call to prayer and fasting is made to all constituents of the IPHC, not just a select group known as intercessors. Our denomination is joining many other denominations and church organizations in periods of prayer and fasting. We are convinced that the flood of God\u2019s miracle working power flows mightily through the channels of prayer and fasting. The amazing results of this united prayer movement will be evident to all!”<\/p>\n

In keeping with the IPHC core value focus on \u201cWe Prayerfully Value Holiness\u201d, World Intercession Network (WIN) has developed a 21 Day Prayer Guide<\/a> for this fast. This fasting emphasis also coincides with the Reset Our Generation virtual prayer meeting hosted by Awakening America Alliance on January 10-31, 2016. \"\"<\/a> \"Con la convicci\u00f3n de que el Esp\u00edritu Santo nos est\u00e1 llamando a ser un lugar de esperanza y un pueblo de la promesa, la Iglesia Internacional de Santidad Pentecostal est\u00e1 clamando a Dios por un avivamiento entre los pueblos del mundo! La historia revela que cada gran despertar espiritual era precedido por un momento de intensa oraci\u00f3n y el ayuno. esa f\u00f3rmula sigue siendo la misma! sigue siendo cierto que \"Si mi pueblo, que lleva mi nombre, se humilla y ora, y me busca, y se vuelven de sus malvados caminos; entonces yo oir\u00e9 desde los cielos, y perdonar\u00e9 sus pecados, y sanar\u00e9 su tierra \"(2 Cr\u00f3nicas 7:14).<\/p>\r\n

Jes\u00fas declar\u00f3 que algunas cosas \"pueden venir con nada, sino con oraci\u00f3n y ayuno\" (Marcos 9:29). Hay que hacer las preguntas que dan que pensar; somos una casa de sermones, una casa de canciones, una casa de los programas, o una casa de oraci\u00f3n?
