{"id":980,"date":"2016-08-31T16:01:25","date_gmt":"2016-08-31T16:01:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/?p=980"},"modified":"2016-08-31T16:01:25","modified_gmt":"2016-08-31T16:01:25","slug":"red-de-ministerios-sonshine-2016-conference-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iphc.org\/gso\/2016\/08\/31\/red-de-ministerios-sonshine-2016-conference-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Red De Ministerios Sonshine 2016 Conference Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Annual Conference of the Sonshine Hispanic Ministries was held August 18-20, 2016, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.\u00a0 The event was hosted by Pastor Angel Diaz and the Christ the Rock Church.\u00a0 Bishop Blas Ramirez is the superintendent\/bishop<\/p>\n<p>It was my privilege to preside over the Conference.\u00a0 I do enjoy my visits to the conference.\u00a0 During my time there I had five translators.\u00a0 I have worked with each before.\u00a0 They do an excellent job.\u00a0 They are old friends.\u00a0 Four were pastors.\u00a0 I have preached in each of their churches.<\/p>\n<p>The Annual Conference began with a camp meeting-style service on Thursday night.\u00a0 Bishop Blas preached a powerful message on evangelism, expansion and reaching out in the midst of great cultural challenges.\u00a0 His message was well received.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday morning and Saturday morning, Bishop Blas hosted a private breakfast for new pastors, etc.\u00a0 I was able to attend each.\u00a0 Approximately 20 attended each meeting.\u00a0 The conference is experiencing some great growth.\u00a0 Bishop Ramirez is a gifted networker.<br \/>\nFriday morning was filled with various workshops.\u00a0 At 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Apostle C\u00e8sar Minera preached.\u00a0 He was exceptional.\u00a0 He has a church in Reno, Nevada.\u00a0 I enjoyed some good fellowship with him and his wife.<\/p>\n<p>I spoke on Friday afternoon.\u00a0 My topics were introducing the holiness theme and \u201cRecapture the Wonder.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 Bishop Blas gave a time of vision casting in his Conference Report.<\/p>\n<p>The attendance at the meeting varied from 150 to 380 on Friday night.\u00a0 Most of the churches were represented.\u00a0 Many of the pastors I know personally.\u00a0 I was privileged to get acquainted with many new ones.\u00a0 They had many questions about EVUSA and Hispanic Ministries.\u00a0 Many asked about the Extension Loan Fund.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday night before the message, I charged and license some 16 individuals.\u00a0 We also awarded 9 Local Church Minister\u2019s Certificates.\u00a0 There was much diversity in age and gender.\u00a0 Nearly half of the candidates were women. On Friday morning I would charge and ordain 10 individuals.\u00a0 This was a very special time.\u00a0 Several of the candidates I knew personally.<\/p>\n<p>After the ordination service on Saturday, the Conference concluded with a graduation service of the Theological International University.\u00a0 Nine received diplomas.\u00a0 This is an accredited Hispanic training institution with its home base in Raleigh, North Carolina.\u00a0 Dr. Julian Rosario is the president.\u00a0 The organization does a good job.\u00a0 The organization is known by EVUSA.\u00a0 Dr. Luis Avila has known of them for some time.<\/p>\n<p>I did enjoy the Conference.\u00a0 Bishop Ramirez and his team had filled every moment with instruction and worship.\u00a0 The bishop involved all his council in various activities.\u00a0 The worship was excellent.\u00a0 Red de Ministerios Sonshine is moving forward and beginning to grow exponentially.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday I preached twice at the Abundant Life Vision Ministries in Hallandale, Florida.\u00a0 The pastors are Jorge and Aida Hernandez.\u00a0 They have a church of nearly 300.\u00a0 If they can get into their own building, they would jump to 500 immediately.\u00a0 These two have been dear friends of five years.\u00a0 Aida is one of the conference secretaries.\u00a0 They both are certified in DCPI.\u00a0 We have taught together several times.\u00a0 Their worship team is composed of singers, string musicians, a keyboard and a full brass ensemble.\u00a0 Wow!\u00a0 Their worship is phenomenal.\u00a0 May the Lord grant them a building and quickly.<\/p>\n<p>May the Lord continue to bless Sonshine Ministries!<br \/>\n<strong>By Bishop D.
