Rev. Willie Downing passed from this life to his eternal reward. Dr. Roger Gorman has provided us with the following from Willie\u2019s wife, Tersia. Thank you, Roger.<\/p>\n

A \u2018celebration service\u2019 honoring Willie\u2019s life and legacy will be held at Salvation Army DV on Wednesday, 21st<\/sup> December at 7:00PM.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Terisa noted the following in her communique with Roger\u2026\u201dWe had strict instructions from Willie not to mourn, but celebrate … and we plan to.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Willie was an associate pastor at the Krugersdorp PHC, which my father planted and pastored prior to Willie marrying Tersia Changuion and their beginning their service as IPHC missionaries to South Africa from 1976 to April 2005.<\/p>\n

I will always remember Willie as being a very gentle man who loved Jesus and loved people.\u00a0 Tersia\u2019s family, the Changuions were the first members of the Krugersdorp PHC.<\/p>\n

We join with his family and friends from many Continents in thanking the Lord for the life and legacy of this soldier of the cross.\u00a0 Willie, we honor your memory and look forward to seeing you again shortly dear friend, fellow missionary and faithful servant.<\/p>\n

Tersia, please know that the thoughts and prayers of your IPHC missionary family are covering you as you and your family mourn Willie\u2019s home going.\u00a0 Take comfort in the fact that we do not mourn as those that have no hope.<\/p>\n

La familia de Tersia, los Changuions fueron los primeros miembros de la Krugersdorp APS. Nos unimos a su familia y amigos de muchos continentes para dar gracias al Se\u00f1or por la vida y el legado de este soldado de la cruz. Willie, honramos su memoria y esperamos volver a verle pronto querido amigo, compa\u00f1ero misionero y fiel servidor. Tersia, por favor sepan que los pensamientos y las oraciones de su familia misionera IISP que est\u00e1n cubriendo como usted y su familia llorar la casa de Willie ir.
