Happy summer! While it’s warming up for you Northern Hemisphere dwellers, for us Southern Hemisphere dwellers it’s getting colder! And since houses here don’t have central heating or air, we feel the temperatures a lot more than when we lived in the United States. But we are so grateful and excited to be here; we just have to bundle up and we are set!<\/p>\n

Here you will see a picture of our group of disciples. We are mentoring four powerful pastors who have wonderful church-planting and missions callings. They are Pastors Rone and Cacia, Samuel and Graciene, Gildo and Zelia, and Elielson and Solange. Between the group of them, they have planted well over 100 churches throughout Brazil and led thousands of people to the Lord. What a privilege to work with such amazing pastors!<\/p>\n

Our church plant saw over 500 attendees for the first time last Sunday! We have practically doubled our attendance since January and that is even without the church officially launching yet!<\/p>\n

It looks like we will be closing on a building where we can have a 1200 seat auditorium this month. If that happens, we can officially launch the church late this year or early next year after we remodel our new building.<\/p>\n

We have been working hard on setting up the children’s ministry at our church here in S\u00e3o Paulo. We are ministering to about 60 kids each Sunday now, and we know more and more will be coming, so we are getting ready for them! Our dream is that the children will love kids’ church so much that they insist that their parents bring them and consequently bring their parents to church too. Aaron and I were helping at an evangelistic outreach a few weeks ago and next to me was a mother who started telling me how her son kept asking what day of the week it was, because he was anxious for Sunday to come so he could go to children’s church. Of course she would have to take him! Well, she did take him and then received the Lord during the altar call!! Praise God!!! Our passion is to see these children influencing their families and friends for Jesus so that many, many precious people, young and old, will come to know Him and His amazing love.<\/p>\n

Y puesto que las casas aqu\u00ed no tienen calefacci\u00f3n central o aire, sentimos las temperaturas mucho m\u00e1s que cuando vivimos en los Estados Unidos. Pero estamos muy agradecidos y emocionados por estar aqu\u00ed; S\u00f3lo tenemos que empacar y nos ponen! Aqu\u00ed ver\u00e1 una foto de nuestro grupo de disc\u00edpulos. Estamos mentoreando a cuatro poderosos pastores que tienen maravillosas iglesias y vocaciones de misiones. Son Pastores Rone y Cacia, Samuel y Graciene, Gildo y Zelia, y Elielson y Solange. Entre el grupo de ellos, han plantado m\u00e1s de 100 iglesias en todo Brasil y han llevado a miles de personas al Se\u00f1or. \u00a1Qu\u00e9 privilegio trabajar con pastores tan asombrosos! \u00a1Nuestra iglesia vio a m\u00e1s de 500 asistentes por primera vez el domingo pasado! Hemos pr\u00e1cticamente duplicado nuestra asistencia desde enero y que es incluso sin la iglesia oficialmente lanzando todav\u00eda! Parece que estaremos cerrando en un edificio donde podemos tener un auditorio de 1200 asientos este mes. Si eso ocurre, podemos lanzar oficialmente la iglesia a finales de este a\u00f1o o principios del pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s de remodelar nuestro nuevo edificio. Hemos estado trabajando duro para establecer el ministerio de los ni\u00f1os en nuestra iglesia aqu\u00ed en S\u00e3o Paulo. Estamos ministrando a unos 60 ni\u00f1os cada domingo ahora, y sabemos que m\u00e1s y m\u00e1s vendr\u00e1n, \u00a1as\u00ed que nos estamos preparando para ellos! Nuestro sue\u00f1o es que los ni\u00f1os amar\u00e1n la iglesia de los cabritos tanto que insisten que sus padres los traigan y consecuentemente traiga a sus padres a la iglesia tambi\u00e9n. Aaron y yo est\u00e1bamos ayudando en un evangelismo de alcance hace unas semanas y junto a m\u00ed hab\u00eda una madre que empez\u00f3 a contarme c\u00f3mo su hijo segu\u00eda preguntando qu\u00e9 d\u00eda de la semana era, porque estaba ansioso por el domingo para que pudiera ir a Iglesia de los ni\u00f1os. \u00a1Por supuesto que tendr\u00eda que llevarlo! \u00a1Bien, ella lo tom\u00f3 y despu\u00e9s recibi\u00f3 al Se\u00f1or durante la llamada al altar! \u00a1\u00a1\u00a1Alabado sea el Se\u00f1or!!!
