We started Life Church Cebu three and a half years ago now! Can you believe it? Over the course of this journey, we have provided weekend services and relevant activities for engagement, outreach, and discipleship. Life Groups, Upward Sports, and Life Coffee House & Library are a few examples of our efforts to reach the Cebu community.<\/p>\n
During our very first Big Event, many brought their families and friends to a Bible-believing church for the first time. One such person was Jeff, who at the time was the only Christian in his family. As his wife and children began to attend with him, Jeff made a tough decision to move overseas to provide much-needed income for his family. He confided in me as he left, saying that he had encouraged his wife and kids to stay in church, but was worried because they had not yet made a personal decision to follow Christ. During the last three years that Jeff has been overseas, and through intentional outreach and engagements, his wife, Heidi, and their children wholeheartedly accepted Christ and followed the Lord in Believer\u2019s baptism! As Christ changed Heidi\u2019s life, she shared her new-found faith with the people she is closest to, her parents. Just recently, her parents held hands, bowed their heads, and accepted Christ as their Savior. GOD ANSWERS PRAYER! The moment His peace and assurance of salvation swept over this couple is a moment that will forever be etched into my mind.<\/p>\n

Durante nuestro primer Gran Evento, muchos trajeron a sus familias y amigos a una iglesia que cre\u00eda en la Biblia por primera vez. Una de esas personas era Jeff, quien en ese momento era el \u00fanico cristiano en su familia. Mientras su esposa e hijos comenzaron a asistir con \u00e9l, Jeff tom\u00f3 la dura decisi\u00f3n de trasladarse al extranjero para proporcionar los ingresos que tanto necesitaba para su familia. \u00c9l me confi\u00f3 cuando sali\u00f3, diciendo que hab\u00eda alentado a su esposa ya sus hijos a permanecer en la iglesia, pero estaba preocupado porque a\u00fan no hab\u00edan tomado la decisi\u00f3n personal de seguir a Cristo. Durante los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os que Jeff ha estado en el extranjero, su esposa Heidi y sus hijos aceptaron de todo coraz\u00f3n a Cristo y siguieron al Se\u00f1or en el bautismo de los creyentes. Cuando Cristo cambi\u00f3 la vida de Heidi, comparti\u00f3 su nueva fe con la gente a la que est\u00e1 m\u00e1s cerca, sus padres.
