This past year has been filled with many opportunities for ministry. We give thanks to God for opening the doors of service and for you, our faithful partners, who have supported the ministry with your prayers and finances.<\/p>\n

In January, our daughter-in-love, Katie, bade farewell to her dad, William Randolph Hunt. We spent many times of fellowship and enjoyed the time that we had together with him. Hugh was given the honor of officiating his celebration of life. Continue to pray for our Katie as she continues to adjust to her dad\u2019s passing.<\/p>\n

The month of February was filled with opportunities to visit every area of the Cornerstone Conference and renew acquaintances with friends and partners. We are encouraged by those who have recommitted and who have made new Faith Promises.<\/p>\n

MALAWI MINISTRY<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In May, we spent time in Malawi working on a medical mission led by Dr. Terrance Carey and his wife, Martha Ann. We worked alongside Ernest and Cheryl Turner, ministering to the patients and distributing medications. There were 376 patients treated and 1,416 prescriptions written.<\/p>\n

Hugh worked as an eye doctor, giving out more than 150 reading glasses. What a joy to see people who are able to read the Bible again for the first time in many years.<\/p>\n

Later, we worked with Althea Meyer and taught the Doctrine of Salvation in the Guthrie Bible Training Centre in Blantyre, Malawi.<\/p>\n

REUNION WITH FAMILY<\/h3>\n

July was the month of the Hoyle Family reunion, in which most of the 15 tribes were represented. We left immediately for Orlando to participate in the General Conference of the IPHC. On our return, we were able to spend a few days with some of Lois\u2019 siblings.<\/p>\n

NICARAGUA<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

August found us with Mike and Jo Beth Simpson in Esteli, Nicaragua. There, we trained the leaders in the principles of Servant Leadership. Lois taught the pastors\u2019 wives principles of ministry in the parsonage.<\/p>\n

CUBA<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

God is moving in Cuba despite unique circumstances which call for Holy Spirit anointing and inspiration. Bishop Adonis Gato Cruz invited us to come to Cuba and teach on church planting and missions. Our original schedule for September was changed due to Hurricane Maria, whose category five forces wreaked havoc on southern Florida and northwestern Cuba. We arrived a month later, accompanied by Phillip Gschwend, who had committed to working with the churches long term. Tim and Twyla Eades had planned on sharing in the teaching, but the delay precluded their attendance because they were committed to other plans.<\/p>\n

There were more than ninety attending the three days of sessions which began at 8:30 AM and concluded at 5:00 PM. The people were attentive and responsive. As in every teaching situation, we had workbooks for each student and left flash drives of the material with each member of the conference board. We did this so they could reinforce the church planting and missions principles with the pastors. We received word that the conference is planning a ministry trip to Haiti later this year.<\/p>\n

MINISTRY IN 2018<\/h3>\n

This year, we have already committed to teaching in India and assisting in the direction
\nof the East Africa Bible College for a term. Bishop Gato-Cruz has also invited us to return
\nto teach church planting and missions in Havana. Thank you for your prayers and faithful
\nsupport, which are making all of this possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cFinally, brothers, rejoice. Become mature, be encouraged, be of the same mind, be at
\npeace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.\u201d 2 Cor. 13:11 (HSCB)<\/p>\n

The Lord\u2019s mercies are new every day. His compassions fail not. We are grateful for your prayerful

\u00a1GUAUU! \u00a1\u00a1\u00a1LA IGLESIA SE VUELVE IMPRESIONANTE !!! HERMOSOS PIES, ALFOMBRAS, AIRE ACONDICIONADO, HERMOSO P\u00daLPURA Y VENTANAS MANUFACTURADAS ...<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

El primer servicio de la iglesia en los Estados Unidos es normalmente un choque cultural para nosotros despu\u00e9s de estar en \u00c1frica durante tres a\u00f1os. Muchas de nuestras iglesias en el sur de \u00c1frica tienen pisos de concreto, sin techos, ventanas b\u00e1sicas, ba\u00f1os exteriores, sin aire acondicionado y p\u00falpitos artesanales hechos con madera de desecho. Sin embargo, las personas all\u00ed est\u00e1n llenas del gozo del Se\u00f1or: danzar, cantar y dar testimonio de la provisi\u00f3n y la grandeza de Dios.<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

GRADUACI\u00d3N Y BODA<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Un punto culminante de nuestro permiso ha sido asistir a la graduaci\u00f3n de la escuela secundaria de nuestra nieta, Shaan Delport. \"\"<\/a> Otro ha sido que Joe se haya casado con nuestro nieto, Trysten Delport, y su bella novia, Rachel Lowry Delport.<\/p>\r\n

NUESTRO VIAJE MISIONERO<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

La \u00fanica cosa que ha sostenido nuestro viaje como misioneros es el llamado de Dios. Durante veintinueve a\u00f1os, hemos experimentado la gu\u00eda y direcci\u00f3n de Dios en nuestras vidas. \u00c9l nunca nos ha fallado, independientemente de los desaf\u00edos que hemos tenido que enfrentar. Los catorce a\u00f1os que pasamos en Zimbabwe fueron muy gratificantes ya que invertimos en la vida de l\u00edderes, personas y ni\u00f1os. Fue durante ese tiempo, Dios nos llam\u00f3 al centro y norte de Mozambique a un pa\u00eds destrozado y personas heridas, que hab\u00edan sufrido 17 a\u00f1os de guerra civil. Este fue uno de los momentos m\u00e1s gratificantes de nuestro ministerio, ya que las personas recibieron a Jes\u00fas como su ancla.<\/p>\r\n

Nos pidieron que nos mudemos en 2002 para servir como Directores Regionales para \u00c1frica del Sur, supervisando el trabajo en seis pa\u00edses. En los \u00faltimos 15 a\u00f1os, hemos experimentado un movimiento fenomenal de Dios en esta regi\u00f3n. Los siguientes son algunos de los puntos destacados recientes:<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 La APS sudafricana estableci\u00f3 su duod\u00e9cima conferencia en 2016<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 La Conferencia General de Botswana tuvo una exitosa conferencia anual de 2017 en Mahalapye, Botswana. Est\u00e1n planeando comenzar dos conferencias nuevas.<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 El programa de capacitaci\u00f3n de liderazgo ISOM (Escuela Internacional de Ministerio) ha sido muy efectivo en nuestra iglesia en Francistown, Botswana. Tambi\u00e9n se est\u00e1 estableciendo en otras \u00e1reas del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 En junio de 2016, celebramos la dedicaci\u00f3n de nuestra iglesia en Maputo, Mozambique. La iglesia ya tiene 300 personas presentes y est\u00e1 creciendo.<\/p>\r\n\u2022 En noviembre, 21 estudiantes se graduaron de Advance School of Ministry en Lilongwe,\r\n

NUESTRO VIAJE MISIONERO CONTINU\u00d3<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 La capacitaci\u00f3n de DCPI est\u00e1 funcionando bien en Sud\u00e1frica. La mayor\u00eda de las conferencias han participado en los programas de capacitaci\u00f3n con buenos resultados.<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Varios equipos de EE. UU. Han visitado Mozambique a lo largo de los a\u00f1os.<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Joe realiz\u00f3 numerosos eventos de capacitaci\u00f3n de liderazgo en iglesias y conferencias durante todo el a\u00f1o.<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 La Conferencia General de Sud\u00e1frica ha estado trabajando arduamente para establecer el programa de capacitaci\u00f3n ISOM, que comenzar\u00e1 a principios de 2017. Cada una de las 12 conferencias se ha comprometido a que al menos cinco iglesias participen en el programa. Esto significa que habr\u00e1 60 centros de capacitaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 La Conferencia del Sur de Mozambique licenci\u00f3 a 22 l\u00edderes j\u00f3venes, y los desafi\u00f3 a convertirse en plantadores de iglesias en las ciudades y pueblos de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\r\n

\u2022 Swazilandia ha visto un crecimiento fenomenal de la iglesia. En ocho a\u00f1os, nuestros misioneros sudafricanos, el reverendo Xolani y Thembeka Ngema, han plantado seis iglesias. Est\u00e1n apuntando a Manzini, la segunda ciudad m\u00e1s grande de Swazilandia para plantar la pr\u00f3xima iglesia.<\/p>\r\n
