Hello to all of you, our faithful supporters. This last Sunday, March 3, was Faith Commitment Sunday. On this day, many of you were given opportunities to reconfirm your faithful support to our ministry, as well as to other missionaries. THANK YOU for your giving and monthly support. Because of your giving and prayers, we are seeing great things accomplished for the kingdom of God, and we are continuing to reach into the lives of people from around our region and share with them the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

I believe the multiplication of churches is a reward to faithful responsible leaders, just as the talents were blessed and multiplied to the good and faithful steward of his master\u2019s wealth.\u00a0<\/em><\/span>-Dan Clowers<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

ARISE 2033 IS MOTIVATING CENTRAL AMERICA<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are so excited to be in an organization with a vision for the future. General Superintendent Dr. Doug Beacham has challenged the IPHC worldwide to plant new churches by 2033 and to enter new countries. In Central America, we plan to target more unreached people groups in our region. However, what we are really seeing is the excitement for new church plants. Below are the stories of ten new church plants in our region.<\/p>\n

FOUR IN HONDURAS<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Without a doubt, a leader who is producing the newest church plants in our region is the Honduran superintendent, Juan Javier Cruz. Javier has a gift of connecting people and planting churches. Since October of 2018, he has connected people and has been personally involved with four new works in various areas of the country. Although they are new works without buildings, they are all functioning and excited about the prospects the Lord has for them. God has used this man with the limited resources he has. He travels to the remote areas of the conference and has been able to produce great churches. However, with great growth comes great need, so please pray for the training of leaders to continue with even more church plants. Also, pray for extra funds to help with transportation so Javier can continue this ministry of church planting. The following photos are new church plants that will need church structures built soon.<\/p>\n

TWO IN EL SALVADOR<\/strong><\/p>\n

In El Salvador, we have witnessed a two for one miracle! On February 13, a team from Georgetown, SC, led by Tanya McCall, planned to come to El Salvador to do a medical clinic and remodel a small building for a new church plant in an area called Quezaltepeque. LITTLE DID WE KNOW, GOD WAS ABOUT TO GIVE US MORE THAN WE PLANNED.<\/p>\n

The night before the team\u2019s arrival, two things happened unexpectedly. First, I received word that the land purchase of our new work had to be put off for now, as no one could locate the owner for some reason. Secondly, the team’s flight was canceled. Brenda and I began to pray but were also thinking, \u201cWhat is happening?\u201d If you have been on a team with us, you know that we talk about being flexible on the field and that changes can happen. However, this was too much at once.<\/p>\n

Praise God! He never lets us down. We received word from our leader, Francisco Olivo, of a new church plant just a week old in the village of Esperanza (HOPE). They had land, and we could buy it. We bought it and completed all the legal work in one day. ONE DAY! After a rerouting for the team, they finally arrived and began working on the clean ground, digging and laying the foundation of the new IPHC church in Esperanza, El Salvador. By the way, the name of the team from Georgetown is \u201cBuilders of Hope.\u201d<\/p>\n

What about the other project? God has the timing for that also. We need $15,000 to purchase this property and continue with the remodel of this work. In the meantime, the pastor is building a great work in this small rented building. We are determined to make El Salvador our ministry emphasis for 2019, and we know God is doing His will in this great place.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

ONE IN NICARAGUA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our Nicaraguan Superintendent Denis Obando reports that the political situation in Nicaragua has been somewhat of a challenge for the church. Due to the political unrest over the last year, travel has been suspended as far as the ministry is concerned. Things do seem to be changing, and tourism is slowly starting to come back. This is important news for us since we will be going in with a team to build a church building for the newest church plant in Jinotega, Nicaragua. This new work will be a light on a hill overlooking the town of Jinotega. We are so excited to be a part of this new church plant. We have 32 churches in Nicaragua and they are all doing very well and showing growth. Under the leadership of Denis Obando, we are seeing great stability and faithfulness to the IPHC. Please continue to pray for the peace and financial support needed to grow this conference.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

TWO IN COSTA RICA<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was so blessed to travel to the Guanacaste area of Costa Rica to witness, first hand, two new church plants. One in the small village of Puerto Tiel and the other on the island of Chira. Both are new works and are reaching their community for the Lord. We are looking for ministry teams from the U.S. for this area of the country. I pray God will send the right teams at the right time to meet these needs.<\/p>\n

I appreciate our conference superintendent, Bishop Jose Angel Salas, for the liberty he allows us to travel and minister in the conference. He is always open to any ministry we bring in. Please pray for his health as he waits for hip surgery.<\/p>\n

WHERE TO NEXT?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

ONE IN PANAMA! <\/strong><\/p>\n

Panama\u2019s IPHC superintendent, Cecilio Cigarruista, reports of a future church plant that will be taking place in the city of David, Panama. David is one of the larger cities in Panama and is rapidly expanding due to the new International Airport. With the new airport, the impact on business and tourism is felt in this northwest region of Panama in a very positive way. The prospects for growth are good. The church in Chitr\u00e9, Panama is preparing a couple, Elias (Pache) Peralta, his wife, Lyris, and their daughter, Ana Gabriela, who are great servants of God with missionary hearts. This family was on our recent trip to El Salvador and worked hand in hand with the evangelism team, doing dramas and puppets to help win more than 44 people to the Lord. This family has faithfully worked as church leaders under Pastor Cecilio, as well as helped us in the Central American Region. I ask for your prayers for this great new work and for the finances to come in. Job transfers and financial arrangements are being arranged now to start this work at the end of 2019 or the first part of 2020.<\/p>\n

En enero, yo (Russell) viaj\u00e9 a la India para las conferencias anuales de pastores en el sur y el norte.\r\n

CONFERENCIA DE LA INDIA DEL SUR<\/span><\/h2>\r\nPor primera vez, la Conferencia del Sur de la India se celebr\u00f3 en Maruteru, donde el trabajo en el sur de la India comenz\u00f3 hace sesenta a\u00f1os. El misionero Danny Williams se uni\u00f3 a m\u00ed en el ministerio en la conferencia. Como siempre, fue un momento destacado otorgar licencias (32 en esta ocasi\u00f3n) a los ministros reci\u00e9n aprobados en la Conferencia, tanto hombres como mujeres. Mientras est\u00e1bamos en Maruteru, dedicamos una hermosa iglesia reci\u00e9n remodelada en el sitio donde los misioneros Ken y Joan Donald construyeron el primer edificio de la iglesia en 1960. Durante la conferencia se llev\u00f3 a cabo una reuni\u00f3n de antiguos ni\u00f1os del albergue, y fue inspirador escuchar testimonios. de c\u00f3mo sus vidas fueron impactadas y transformadas a trav\u00e9s de la educaci\u00f3n proporcionada por los misioneros all\u00ed.\r\n

DEDICACION DE LA IGLESIA<\/span><\/h2>\r\nEl obispo Talmadge Gardner se uni\u00f3 a m\u00ed en Srikakulam para dedicar el hermoso y nuevo santuario de la Iglesia de Living Waters PH. Esta congregaci\u00f3n de casi 400 personas est\u00e1 liderada por el obispo Samuel Moses, superintendente de la conferencia, y su esposa, Smitha. Plantada en un \u00e1rea de tugurios de la ciudad, esta iglesia ha sido una influencia transformadora en la comunidad, \u00a1y ha nacido 10 congregaciones hijas y 15 iglesias en casa! Los fondos para esta magn\u00edfica estructura provinieron de las donaciones a la ofrenda de Alcance Global, las contribuciones de la Iglesia de Wing Kwong PH en Hong Kong y la entrega de sacrificios de los creyentes locales.\r\n

CONFERENCIA NORTE CONJUNTA<\/span><\/h2>\r\nLas Conferencias Norte, Central y Oriental celebraron una reuni\u00f3n conjunta en una ciudad industrial. Por razones de seguridad, pocas fotos o detalles pueden ser publicados. M\u00e1s del 95% de los pastores participaron en la conferencia, con 242 delegados. Los puntos destacados incluyen: \u2022 Entrega de diplomas a once graduados del Instituto B\u00edblico Shalom \u2022 Celebraci\u00f3n de 50 a\u00f1os de ministerio por un pastor veterano y su esposa \u2022 Entrega de credenciales a 23 ministros reci\u00e9n licenciados \u2022 Reconocimiento de los pastores que pagaron los diezmos personales m\u00e1s altos \u2022 Iniciando un nuevo programa para Financiar la construcci\u00f3n de la iglesia. Fue especialmente emocionante cuando el tesorero me present\u00f3 $ 3,600 en donaciones para la Ofrenda Global de Alcance. En un pa\u00eds donde muchos trabajadores ganan solo unos pocos d\u00f3lares por d\u00eda, esto representa una generosidad sacrificial de alto nivel. Estos creyentes consideran que es un privilegio unirse al esfuerzo por llevar el evangelio a los no alcanzados en todo el mundo. \u00a1Sigamos su ejemplo!\r\n

PUNTOS PARA LA ORACION<\/span><\/h2>\r\n\u2022 Ore por las iglesias perseguidas y los creyentes de la India. Ora por la libertad religiosa, y por el testimonio fiel y fruct\u00edfero. \u2022 Ore por los ministros reci\u00e9n acreditados, para que sirvan al Se\u00f1or con gozo y fidelidad, y den fruto para Su gloria. \u2022 Ore por los programas de capacitaci\u00f3n para sembradores de iglesias en el sur y el norte, para que los pueblos y aldeas no alcanzados puedan ser bendecidos con lugares de esperanza. \u2022 Oremos por las pr\u00f3ximas elecciones nacionales de la India, para que los l\u00edderes lleguen al poder y act\u00faen con justicia y equidad hacia todas las religiones. \u2022 Ore por nosotros mientras proveemos supervisi\u00f3n a una docena de pa\u00edses en Asia y procuramos movilizar personal y recursos para alcanzar a los no alcanzados. \u00a1Gracias por su colaboraci\u00f3n en el evangelio!
