Dear Friends,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Greetings! We are so grateful for you! Thank you for your encouragement and love through your prayers, missionary support, letters, and texts!<\/p>\n

Here, it is a day of celebration ~ the 30 year anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Thirty years ago and, yet, we remember it all so vividly as if it was yesterday.<\/p>\n

We were serving in our first term as missionaries in Germany. Our neighbors, Klaus and Doris, came running up to our apartment to get us to watch the television coverage and witness this amazing event of history with them. What great challenge and new evangelistic opportunities this brought for the church! We had no idea when we first went to Germany that five years later, we would live in East Berlin, preaching the gospel and planting a church there.<\/p>\n

We are forever thankful for God's blessings, and we trust Him now as we continue in evangelism and church planting in Europe - in our new assignment in Belgium and the farthest west section of Germany.<\/p>\n

When thinking of Europe, many think of the beautiful cathedrals, monuments, castles, stately halls of government, and quaint villages. When they have all crumbled, Christ will stand. The question is, how many Europeans will be standing with Him? We are challenged with this question, and the answer is \"not enough!\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

There are spiritual walls that need to fall here where we serve. A startling statistic - the Christian population in Belgium is 1.35%. The majority of the Christian population covers immigrants from other countries who were believers before they arrived. The German-speaking region is the least evangelized area of Belgium. With little influence of Spirit-filled ministries, there is an urgent need for evangelism and new life-giving church plants. That is why we are here.<\/p>\n

Networking and Making Connections for the New Church Plant<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

We have been intentional in making connections as we prepare, plan, pray, and gather people for the new church plant.<\/p>\n

After we moved into our new target area, we began networking with believers and pastors on the Belgium\/Germany border area.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Pray that God will continue putting our core group together.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Pray that God will allow us to plant a church that will plant

\u2022 Pray that many lives will be transformed as they connect with
\nJesus, our awesome Lord!<\/p>\n

Great Connection with Pastor Darius and his wife, Margot<\/p><\/div>\n

Beauty for Ashes<\/strong><\/span> is the new outreach to the prostituted women in the Aachen red light district. Our team is regularly visiting the girls, sharing our love, and sharing Christ\u2019s love with them.<\/p>\n

We would like to open a caf\u00e9 in the red light district and believe this will give us more opportunities to invite the ladies to \u201cour place\u201d to provide a safe meeting place to rest, offer a healthy meal, build relationship with them, counsel, and, most of all, share how Christ can give new life, hope, and beauty for ashes!<\/p>\n

* Holy Spirit anointing on the team as we share Christ's love.
\n* Team safety as we walk the district and talk to the girls.

\u00a1Gracias por su amor, oraciones y generoso apoyo misionero!<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\r\nQueridos amigos,<\/strong>\r\n\r\nEspero que esta carta lo encuentre en buena salud y disfrute de las bendiciones y los beneficios de permanecer en Jesucristo, nuestro Se\u00f1or. Jeannie y yo pensamos que ser\u00eda un buen momento para informarles sobre nuestras actividades de misiones aqu\u00ed en Europa.\r\n\r\nMientras esperamos nuestras Visas, nos quedamos en un peque\u00f1o apartamento en el coraz\u00f3n de Bruselas, B\u00e9lgica. Afuera de nuestra puerta, cientos de personas de todo el mundo pasan todos los d\u00edas. Esta es verdaderamente una ciudad internacional. La mayor\u00eda de las personas hablan ingl\u00e9s como su segundo idioma, lo que nos brinda la oportunidad de compartir el evangelio sin tener que aprender otro idioma.\r\n\r\nHe escrito un tratado del evangelio llamado \"El puente\", que usamos como herramienta para compartir el evangelio. Este tratado, ver foto, usa solo tres porciones de las Escrituras: Juan 3:16, Efesios 2: 8-9 y Juan 1: 12-13 para explicar claramente el plan de salvaci\u00f3n de Dios. Este tratado me ha abierto la puerta para hablar y rezar para que la gente reciba a Cristo. A pocas cuadras del apartamento hay un gran parque, llamado Botanical\r\n\r\nJardines, donde la gente va a relajarse y disfrutar de la creaci\u00f3n de Dios. Esta configuraci\u00f3n ha brindado muchas oportunidades para conocer gente y compartir las buenas noticias.\r\n\r\nNuestro agradecimiento a Bill y Gretchen Schwartz por ayudarnos a comenzar nuestro nuevo mandato y hacernos sentir como en casa en la Conferencia Crosspoint de B\u00e9lgica. Ahora estoy aprendiendo nuevas din\u00e1micas para llegar a las mujeres detr\u00e1s de las ventanas. Mi ubicaci\u00f3n puede cambiar, pero conocer a las mujeres, descubrir cu\u00e1les son sus necesidades, rezar por ellas y ofrecerles sanidad, esperanza y libertad en Cristo Jes\u00fas sigue siendo el mismo, donde sea que est\u00e9.\r\n\r\nPeticiones de oraci\u00f3n:\r\n\r\n\u2022 Ore para que el Se\u00f1or levante un equipo de mujeres para el nuevo alcance en Aachen.\r\n\u2022 Me pidieron que ayudara a un peque\u00f1o grupo de mujeres b\u00falgaras a establecer un contacto con las mujeres en el barrio rojo de Bruselas. Un alto porcentaje de las mujeres prostituidas en Europa occidental son de Bulgaria. \u00a1Reza para que esto suceda!\r\n\r\nComo algunos de ustedes ya saben, sigue habiendo largas demoras en recibir las Visas para misioneros de B\u00e9lgica. Debido a esto, se recomend\u00f3 que vivi\u00e9ramos cerca de la frontera en Alemania y reactivar nuestro estado de visa alem\u00e1n. Hemos encontrado un apartamento para alquilar en Aquisgr\u00e1n, y nos mudaremos el 1 de agosto.
