Miguel\u2019s New Life in Christ<\/strong><\/span>
\nOne Sunday, as Matthew was concluding his sermon, Miguel walked up to the front of the church and said, \u201cI want to give my life to Jesus Christ right now. I want to repent of all sin and live for Him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matthew prayed with and for Miguel, embraced him, and has since enjoyed seeing the change that has taken place in his life. Listen to how Miguel describes his new life.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore giving my life to Christ, I was living at night. I would go to bed every morning at 6:00 am and then get up at 6:00 or 7:00 pm to start all over again. My life was full of parties, drugs, and drinking. I really could not do very much more because I struggled with depression and fear. Whenever I would come home, I would feel the emptiness and darkness come upon me, and I would cry out to God, 'I want to live another kind of life.'<\/p>\n

Then, that Sunday, I felt like I had to iron my clothes and come to church. Suddenly I felt something like God\u2019s hand push me to come forward and give my life to Christ. Since that moment, I have enjoyed a new style of life. Now, I go to bed early and get up at 7:00 am. I am discovering new productivity and the ability to do things that I felt I could not do anymore. Drugs eat away at your mind and your motivation to do things. Now, I am rediscovering my old passion to work with my hands and to read books and the Bible. I also have a wonderful relationship with my family again. For years, they have been praying for me, and now they (and I) are so happy to see what Christ has done in my life.<\/p>\n

After I accepted Christ, several \u201cold friends\u201d came and offered me cocaine to consume and to deal. I told them immediately that I was changed, and Christ was now the Lord of my life. They said the change would not stick. I have never heard a word again from those old friends, but I am enjoying living my life as a beloved child of God. I am not drinking any alcohol or consuming any drugs because I don\u2019t need them anymore. I am not isolated anymore. I have Jesus, and He is enough for me.<\/p>\n

I tell God now every day, 'God do your work. I never want to go back.' So, many times, I prayed that He would take all of my addictions away. He did it. He is faithful. It is only Jesus Christ who gets rid of those addictions. God has helped me to take all the depression, addiction, and sadness away. My life has order and focus now.<\/p>\n

My dream is to one day be preaching the word of God. I feel like there is a call of God on my life. God has been so good to me. He takes broken vessels, and He changes, repairs, reforms, and rebuilds them. This is what God has done and is doing in my life. I am not going back, but I am going forward with Christ because he has a great purpose for my life. I thank Him because I am recuperating my life, and I am not isolated nor lonely anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Corona Virus Crisis<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe Corona Virus Crisis has shut down Amsterdam\u2019s Red Light District. Femke has been spending long days helping sex workers get the financial and social help they can get as the sex industry has been shut down. We are helping them with grocery baskets and gift cards for grocery stores. Many people from throughout the country are calling us for help. What an opportunity to be a voice of hope, love, and life in this difficult situation.<\/p>\n

Also, the conferences Matthew was going to give in the USA in April all have been canceled. However, he will still be launching his next book, Power Evangelism: Just Do It! \nIn February, Matthew was able to take a ministry team to Argentina and Chile to train churches in prophetic ministry. In Chile, they were a part of a national conference with over 1,500 young people. Matthew was born in Chile, so this was a very special treat to be able to minister in his birth land. Thank you so much for helping us bring God\u2019s love, light, and power to Amsterdam, Europe, Latin America, and beyond.<\/p>\n

Jes\u00fas sana de la depresi\u00f3n, el trastorno obsesivo compulsivo, el trastorno de estr\u00e9s postraum\u00e1tico, los ataques de p\u00e1nico y m\u00e1s<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

Yamilet pas\u00f3 por una temporada en la que qued\u00f3 paralizada por el miedo, los ataques de p\u00e1nico y le diagnosticaron una serie de trastornos mentales (TOC, TEPT, depresi\u00f3n, etc.). Su esposo recuerda que hubo momentos en que ella iba a una tienda de comestibles y salir corriendo lo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido posible debido a un ataque de p\u00e1nico. Pas\u00f3 de tener una vida donde sent\u00eda que lo ten\u00eda todo, a caer en un pozo de profunda oscuridad y miedo. Los psic\u00f3logos le dieron una amplia gama de tratamientos, pero ninguno de ellos ayud\u00f3. En cambio, ella experiment\u00f3 que estaba descendiendo m\u00e1s profundamente en un pozo de desesperaci\u00f3n y depresi\u00f3n. Pensamientos oscuros la acosaban hasta tal punto que se encontr\u00f3 contemplando el suicidio por momentos. Fue durante este valle profundo que ella comenz\u00f3 a llamar a Jesucristo, y \u00c9l trajo consigo un cambio completo.<\/p>\r\n

Yamilet encontr\u00f3 un testimonio en YouTube de un hombre que contaba c\u00f3mo Jes\u00fas lo libr\u00f3 de la depresi\u00f3n. Ella escuch\u00f3 y rez\u00f3 la oraci\u00f3n que \u00e9l le dijo a sus oyentes que rezaran. Nada espectacular sucedi\u00f3 en ese momento, pero el viaje a la curaci\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 entonces. Le pidi\u00f3 a Jes\u00fas que enviara a dos personas a su casa que pudieran orar por ella. En una semana, una mujer cristiana la contact\u00f3 y le pregunt\u00f3 si pod\u00eda ir con alguien m\u00e1s a rezar por ella. Esta visita comenz\u00f3 a acercarla a su restauraci\u00f3n y curaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\r\n

Durante bastante tiempo, ella hab\u00eda estado haciendo un estudio b\u00edblico con un grupo de testigos de Jehov\u00e1. Sin embargo, vio que no ten\u00edan absolutamente ning\u00fan poder ni fe para creer en la oraci\u00f3n curativa. Ella dej\u00f3 de asistir a sus reuniones y comenz\u00f3 a estudiar la Biblia y a orar sola en casa. El Esp\u00edritu de Dios comenz\u00f3 a hablarle a trav\u00e9s de las Escrituras, as\u00ed como a trav\u00e9s de sue\u00f1os y visiones. Dios le dijo que necesitaba encontrar otros creyentes que pudieran ayudarla, y \u00c9l comenz\u00f3 a decirle que contactara al Pastor Mateo (Matthew). Ella se contact\u00f3 conmigo (Matthew) y ocurri\u00f3 lo m\u00e1s sorprendente.<\/p>\r\n

Nosotros (Matt y Femke) la visitamos en su casa, y en el momento en que oramos por ella, el Esp\u00edritu Santo baj\u00f3 y la bautiz\u00f3 con poder. Este encuentro de poder del Esp\u00edritu Santo cambi\u00f3 por completo su visi\u00f3n de s\u00ed misma y de su vida. En dos semanas, fue bautizada, y Dios continu\u00f3 haciendo un trabajo muy profundo en su vida. Ahora est\u00e1 libre de todos los ataques de p\u00e1nico, depresi\u00f3n y diagn\u00f3stico que el psic\u00f3logo le hab\u00eda dado.<\/p>\r\n

Yamilet tambi\u00e9n es un trabajador fiel con Femke, ayudando a personas en el Barrio Rojo de Amsterdam. Ella y su esposo se han convertido en l\u00edderes y pilares de nuestra iglesia, Iglesia Vida Nueva. Su testimonio, y ahora su nuevo ministerio, se est\u00e1n desarrollando y ayudando a muchas otras personas a salir de la oscuridad a la luz. Yamilet y su familia son solo una de las muchas familias que tenemos el honor y el privilegio de servir aqu\u00ed en Amsterdam. Mercado de la libertad<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

Un desarrollo emocionante es un nuevo proyecto ministerial que estamos emprendiendo llamado Freedom Market. Esto se convertir\u00e1 en una plataforma en l\u00ednea donde puede comprar joyas y otros art\u00edculos y servicios para ayudar a las personas a salir de la prostituci\u00f3n y detener la trata de personas. La historia de este ministerio comenz\u00f3 hace un par de meses cuando una iglesia de IPHC de Australia nos envi\u00f3 dinero y nos pidi\u00f3 que lo invirti\u00e9ramos para ayudar a alguien a salir de la prostituci\u00f3n. Se encontr\u00f3 a una mujer que trabaja seis noches a la semana en prostituci\u00f3n y seis d\u00edas a la semana en un mercado local que vende joyas. \u00a1Ahora la estamos ayudando a ella y a su esposo a vender sus joyas para que pueda salir de la prostituci\u00f3n lo antes posible!
