IS THERE HOPE FOR THE WORLD TODAY?<\/strong>
\nAs the Corona Virus has penetrated and effected just about every country, government, and individual person on the earth, the element of despair is quite evident. Uncertainty and hopelessness seem to prevail. But, as God's children, we must not despair, because Hebrews 6:19 reminds us that \"HOPE\" is the anchor of our souls. Hope stabilizes in the storm. There are sixty-six drawings of anchors in the catacombs, the caves, and tunnels that persecuted Christians hid in during the Roman persecutions. Hope was their anchor during those dark and stormy days. Like the anchor, hope grabs what is out of sight. As one puritan put it: \u201cThe cable of faith casts out the anchor of hope and lays hold of the steadfast rock of God\u2019s promises.\u201d<\/p>\n

ASSISTING THE NEEDY<\/strong>
\nAs the COVID19 pandemic has affected so many people worldwide, South Africa has not been exempt from its claws. Many people who live in Krugersdorp, where we reside, have also been severely affected. Many don't have any income. Maggie has been working very hard at getting food parcels together to assist the needy. We thank the Lord for so many people who have donated money towards this need.<\/p>\n

IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM, THERE IS PROVISION<\/strong>
\nWe are thankful to Bishop Gardner and World Missions Ministries who have been so generous to allow the Regional Directors to release funds from their 2020 budgets, to assist the leaders and church members in their regions, during the COVID19 epidemic. Joe has sent funds to most of the countries in his region to help alleviate their suffering.<\/p>\n

MADAGASCAR CHURCH PROJECT<\/strong>
\nWe are so thankful to God for the progress of the first IPHC building in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Pastors Tojo and Deborah Ranaivoarimanana are doing an excellent work in the capital city. People are getting saved and discipled for a greater harvest. Although funds were made available through faithful donors, the project is still not finished due to inflation and material costs. The upper level walls and roof still need to be completed and they need at least $40,000. If you can assist in any way, please send funds to Madagascar Church Project #16801P.<\/p>\n

MANJACAZE, MOZAMBIQUE, CHURCH PROJECT<\/strong>
\nIt is always so rewarding to see a project completed. After several years raising support to build the Manjacaze Church, it is finally finished. Bishop Chichava, the pastor of this church, is overjoyed to finally see the end of this long journey. Thank you so much to all the donors who have contributed towards this project. I am always amazed at the tremendous impact a church building has on a community. People find belonging and stability.<\/p>\n

Siembra y cosecha en Camboya<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\nCamboya se encuentra entre los pa\u00edses m\u00e1s pobres de Asia, tanto material como espiritualmente. Han pasado cuarenta a\u00f1os desde que Pol Pot y su Khmer Rouge mataron a m\u00e1s de dos millones de personas en un intento de establecer una utop\u00eda agraria comunista, pero el legado de esos a\u00f1os del holocausto todav\u00eda se puede observar en una grave falta de infraestructura, educaci\u00f3n, oportunidades y esperanza. Menos del 1% de los camboyanos conocen a Jesucristo como Se\u00f1or y Salvador.\r\n\r\nEn septiembre, Russell ayud\u00f3 a organizar y dirigir un equipo ministerial a Camboya para llevar a cabo una serie de cl\u00ednicas m\u00e9dicas en varias aldeas. Los miembros del equipo vinieron de Carolina del Norte, Carolina del Sur, Georgia, Jap\u00f3n y Filipinas.\r\n\r\nLas condiciones a menudo eran r\u00fasticas, ya que ten\u00edamos cl\u00ednicas en las iglesias del pueblo. En un lugar, los funcionarios locales nos obligaron a cerrar. Adem\u00e1s de ofrecer atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica b\u00e1sica y palabras de esperanza y aliento, los miembros del equipo tambi\u00e9n oraron por los pacientes que buscaron su ayuda. \u00a1La oraci\u00f3n es la mejor medicina de todas!\r\n\r\nJunto con el personal m\u00e9dico, tuvimos la suerte de contar con un contingente de j\u00f3venes sobresalientes para ministrar a los ni\u00f1os en cada lugar. \u00a1Estamos orgullosos de decir que nuestro nieto Alex fue parte de este equipo din\u00e1mico!\r\n\r\n\u00a1Los ni\u00f1os disfrutaron jugando juegos al aire libre, haciendo manualidades, escuchando historias de la Biblia, aprendiendo canciones del evangelio y simplemente divirti\u00e9ndose! \u00a1Lo mejor de todo es que los ni\u00f1os aprendieron a orar a Jes\u00fas y tuvieron la oportunidad de ofrecerle sus vidas!\r\n\r\nEn a\u00f1os pasados, hemos invertido tiempo, esfuerzo y financiamiento en viajes similares, ayudando a trabajos pioneros y cavando pozos para las aldeas. \u00a1En este viaje, nos complaci\u00f3 especialmente ver el fruto de estas inversiones en forma de nuevas y pr\u00f3speras iglesias!\r\n

PUNTOS PARA LA ORACI\u00d3N<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\u2022 Ore para que las iglesias en Camboya no sean oprimidas y restringidas en sus actividades, sino que tengan libertad para adorar y difundir el evangelio.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Nuestras iglesias est\u00e1n ayudando a los j\u00f3venes en sus comunidades ense\u00f1ando ingl\u00e9s y ofreciendo capacitaci\u00f3n en inform\u00e1tica. Ore para que los j\u00f3venes est\u00e9n equipados para servir al Se\u00f1or y traer prosperidad a su naci\u00f3n.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Ore por el misionero que dirige nuestro trabajo en Camboya, Rev. Merlen Lamanilao de Filipinas. Ore por su apoyo financiero y por su hija adolescente que pronto se graduar\u00e1 de la escuela secundaria.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Ore por los pr\u00f3ximos viajes a Tailandia y Nepal, por viajes seguros y un ministerio efectivo.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Nuestro apoyo financiero se ha reducido, lo que dificulta nuestra capacidad de viajar y ministrar.
