Late Spring Update<\/span><\/h2>\n

Greetings, dear friends. Wow! What a day to be a Christian! We're getting lots of positive news even when the media keeps sending so many mixed messages. God's Word stays the same and gives us such hope! Let me share a few highlights of what the Lord is doing in our region, Eurasia and the Middle East.<\/p>\n

UKRAINE<\/strong><\/span><\/span>: We're into the 2021 church planting season and are planning on planting 10 new church congregations across Ukraine this year. Pastors are just finishing their training. By the way, Ukraine is also going to be planting two churches in Azerbaijan, two in Russia, and the second church in Bulgaria. Can your church sponsor one of these eastern European church plants at $5,000 each?<\/p>\n

KRUSHINKA, UKRAINE<\/strong><\/span><\/span>: The Drug Rehab Center and church plant is nearing completion. The new church plant, three years ago, was sponsored by Calvary Church in Surrey, BC, Canada, and it has been an inspiration to the whole village.<\/p>\n

ISRAEL<\/strong><\/span><\/span>: We've watched Israel battle as rockets showered down on them sent by Hamas in Gaza. But, even with all the Covid and war turmoil, almost 70 new Jewish followers of the Messiah were baptized in the Jordan River. The Covid Emergency Relief Fund has made a major difference in keeping our Drug Rehab Centers open, as well as keeping many people who have lost their jobs fed.<\/p>\n

We are also looking to some of our U.S.\/Canadian churches to \"adopt\" or become a prayer partner with one of our 35 churches in Israel (most are first-generation house churches). Please let me know if your church will do this, and I'll send you data on the appropriate Israeli house church.<\/p>\n

BULGARIA<\/strong><\/span><\/span>: Our Mother church in Kiev is very intentional in planting churches in ex-Soviet Union countries. One was planted in 2020, and a second one will be planted this spring. These church plants bring the hope to many World Missions' established fields that they will move from receiving nations to sending nations. Ukraine is an excellent example of this.<\/p>\n

BELARUS<\/strong><\/span><\/span>: This small country of nine and a half million people is tied to Russia and is quite dictatorial. We have four new church plants there and plans for the next one. Our associate mother church in Minsk of 1,500 persons, under Bishop Valery Reshetinsky's good friend, Pastor Vyacheslav Goncharenko (Pastor Slava), had its entire property confiscated. Its auditorium was also pushed down to build a school. Pastor Sasha founded his church in this city location 25 years ago, and the government would never give them a clear title. Please pray that their solution will come soon.<\/p>\n

TURKEY, ROMANIA, AND HUNGARY<\/strong><\/span><\/span>: They have all gone, or are going, through the various stages of Covid, and some are still needing our relief help. We pray that this will also be a soul harvest time.<\/p>\n

Carol and I continue to be well connected with the fields through Zoom, WhatsApp, Facetime, emails, and whatever else can be used. I miss the face-to-face connection, but don't we all? We thank the Lord for our health and our family's health during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers and faithful support of our missionary account. We've lost some supporters along the way in the last while, so if you can help, it would be much appreciated.<\/p>\n

ACTUALIZACI\u00d3N DE OTO\u00d1O <\/h2>

\u00a1Saludos a todos ustedes! Algunos de ustedes son nuevos en nuestro viaje, mientras que otros nos han seguido desde el comienzo de nuestros 34 a\u00f1os como misioneros. Te traemos los mejores saludos de temporada y esperamos que haya sido un buen a\u00f1o. Estamos descubriendo que estamos en una temporada de "cosecha" en varios de nuestros pa\u00edses de Europa del Este y Medio Oriente y le brindaremos algunos puntos destacados de eso. \u00a1Se est\u00e1n plantando iglesias todos los meses, y la gente viene a Cristo! <\/p>

En septiembre y octubre, estuvimos en Inglaterra, donde autorizamos y ordenamos a nueve ministros m\u00e1s. Luego nos dirigimos a Bulgaria para nuestra reuni\u00f3n familiar misionera y escuchamos informes de los puntos cr\u00edticos de la cosecha en todo el mundo. <\/p>

UCRANIA <\/h2>

Yo (Bob) estaba con nuestros l\u00edderes en Ucrania cuando realizamos una conferencia de pastores sobre la movilizaci\u00f3n del discipulado. Mientras que en Ucrania, tambi\u00e9n verificamos el progreso de varios proyectos que tenemos en marcha. Un proyecto incluye nuestra nueva panader\u00eda en operaci\u00f3n. Esta es una panader\u00eda operativa y capacitaci\u00f3n para nuestros hombres y mujeres que se encuentran en el centro de rehabilitaci\u00f3n de drogas en el complejo principal. <\/p>

KRUSHINKA VILLAGE <\/h2>

No muy lejos de la ciudad de Kiev, nuestro gran proyecto de rehabilitaci\u00f3n de drogas est\u00e1 avanzando. El Fourplex estaba a medio terminar y, al principio, lo alquilamos. Ahora hemos podido comprar el edificio y la propiedad y estamos terminando las otras dos unidades. Este edificio alberga actualmente a 30 drogadictos en recuperaci\u00f3n. Alabado sea el Se\u00f1or; est\u00e1n realmente en camino a una nueva vida en Cristo. Una de esas personas est\u00e1 prosperando en su segundo a\u00f1o bajo el Pastor Max. <\/p>

OBJETIVO DE PLANTACI\u00d3N DE IGLESIAS PARA 2020 <\/h2>

El objetivo de plantar iglesias para 2020 en Ucrania es plantar 10 nuevas iglesias. Ya tenemos un compromiso. <\/p>

ISRAEL <\/h2>

Fue de Ucrania directamente a Israel. \u00a1Qu\u00e9 lugar de "pasar"! Estuve con nuestros l\u00edderes all\u00ed, la mayor\u00eda de los cuales son ex drogadictos. Bautizamos a estos nuevos creyentes jud\u00edos en el r\u00edo Jord\u00e1n mientras yo estaba all\u00ed.
Camin\u00e9 por las calles de "skid row" de Tel Aviv, donde se encuentra la cafeter\u00eda \/ centro de alimentaci\u00f3n. Vi a los hombres "antes" y "despu\u00e9s" en nuestra \u00faltima iglesia en casa \/ centro de rehabilitaci\u00f3n. Ahora hay 32 ubicaciones, muchas de ellas, que se duplican como casas de rehabilitaci\u00f3n y una como iglesia. Estos hombres y mujeres ahora son redimidos y apasionados por el Se\u00f1or. El "antes" es una escena triste, mientras que el "despu\u00e9s" incluye a personas como un hombre llamado Michael (imagen del extremo izquierdo), que era un adicto de 20 a\u00f1os, pero ahora un l\u00edder din\u00e1mico. <\/p>

HAIFA <\/h2>

Ahora tenemos una nueva ubicaci\u00f3n para la iglesia de Haifa. Las iglesias en casas de esta ciudad ahora pueden pasar de sus edificios abarrotados que albergan solo a 140-150 personas, a un edificio que iba a ser un club de striptease de alta gama que la ciudad cerr\u00f3 antes de que pudiera abrir. Este edificio tendr\u00e1 capacidad para 450-500. Consideramos que esto es una victoria para la Iglesia, ya que el edificio ten\u00eda cerca de $ 100,000 en equipos de iluminaci\u00f3n y sonido computarizados que quedaron atr\u00e1s. <\/p>

Nuestra iglesia en Bel\u00e9n necesita un nuevo edificio, pero es m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil decirlo que hacerlo, ya que este es principalmente territorio musulm\u00e1n que no se alquilar\u00e1 a una iglesia evang\u00e9lica. \u00danase a nosotros para rezar para que puedan comprar sus propias instalaciones, lo cual es muy costoso en esa ciudad. <\/p>

AGRADECIDO <\/h2>

\u00bfC\u00f3mo podemos decir un agradecimiento adecuado para todos ustedes que han participado con nosotros en misiones este a\u00f1o, y algunos de ustedes durante 33 a\u00f1os? Personalmente, queremos que sepa que nos sentimos honrados de ser sus piernas, manos y ojos para lograr lo que el Se\u00f1or ha puesto en nuestros corazones. Nuestros ciudadanos pudieron plantar muchas iglesias nuevas en Ucrania, Bielorrusia, Moldavia e Israel porque ustedes dieron. Ahora se han plantado m\u00e1s de 65 nuevas iglesias en los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os. 2020 se est\u00e1 alineando para ser otro a\u00f1o excepcional, y estamos muy contentos de que seas parte de todo esto. <\/p>

Que el Se\u00f1or los bendiga ricamente en esta temporada navide\u00f1a. Es una ALEGR\u00cdA servirle. <\/p>
