I share this historic and exciting news with you as it merits celebrating!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>\u201cI have just returned from Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal, where we held an elective conference and subdivided it into three. The Spirit of the Lord was great, and all went well.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>One of the conferences elected Dr. Thandi Ngema as the Bishop [Conference Superintendent]. I must say that her election is a groundbreaking milestone for our church as I believe that she is the first woman bishop in our church in Africa.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>We thank God for this development as it is helping the church against patriarchal stereotypes. The church has been subtly disregarding the important role played by our women. I am seeing this as breaking and shattering the stereotypes that have plagued us for so long.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>Actually, in every conference where we have had elections this year, we\u2019ve elected women to serve as one or two or three of the portfolio holders. Five conferences in South Africa have women Assistant Bishops [Assistant Conference Superintendents]. This is indeed great news for us!!!\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We congratulate and honor Bishop Ngema. She is a wonderful lady and a gifted spiritual leader. A brief bio for Bishop Ngema is below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>Dr. Bishop Thandi Ngema was born in KwaZulu-Natal and now lives in ESikhawini. She attended the University of Zululand, earning two degrees, and then received her master\u2019s degree in education at the University of Orange Free State. Dr. Ngema then obtained her doctorate at the University of Zululand.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>She has been a high school teacher, a college lecturer, an ABET coordinator, a coach at PILO, and is currently a lecturer at the University of Zululand.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>Bishop Ngema is an ordained minister and a pastor\u2019s wife in the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She serves as a marriage officer and a Commissioner of Oaths. She is also a principal at Miracle Bible Training Centre and the Women\u2019s Ministry Director in KwaZulu-Natal and the Pentecostal Holiness Church in South Africa.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>Dr. Bishop Thandi Ngema is married to Bishop Themba Ngema, and they have three children: Nomonde, Thembelihle, and Lindelwe and one grandchild, Zuko.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The World Missions Ministries 2020 Statistical Report shows that South Africa has 357 churches and a membership of 28,827. We are grateful for the visionary and anointed leadership of Bishop Joel Dibetsoe, National Overseer of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Bishop J. Otra cosa es experimentar las vistas, los sonidos, los olores, los sabores y el clima por uno mismo, as\u00ed como dedicar tiempo a conocer a los nacionales y aprender sobre su ministerio y forma de vida.<\/p><p> Desde entonces, el pastor Steve ha llevado a varios miembros de la congregaci\u00f3n a un viaje anual a Maesai, ubicado en el \u00e1rea del Tri\u00e1ngulo Dorado del norte de Tailandia. \u201cEste tipo de experiencia pr\u00e1ctica y pr\u00e1ctica les ayuda a apropiarse de un proyecto\u201d, dice.<\/p><p> El enfoque de sus esfuerzos ha sido el Centro de Discipulado del Mekong (MDC), una instalaci\u00f3n para capacitar a l\u00edderes, pastores, plantadores de iglesias y misioneros para Tailandia, Myanmar, Laos y China. Los equipos anuales de VHM realizan capacitaci\u00f3n en liderazgo y \/ o trabajos de construcci\u00f3n en la instalaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p> Junto con la junta de misiones de la iglesia, el pastor Steve se ha fijado la meta de recaudar $ 10,000 durante el a\u00f1o para el proyecto MDC. \u201cSobrenaturalmente, la financiaci\u00f3n siempre entra, al igual que los gastos de viaje para aquellos que han viajado al campo\u201d, dice. En diez a\u00f1os, han invertido alrededor de $ 100,000 en el MDC, as\u00ed como entre $ 500 y $ 700 por mes en apoyo misional. El pastor Steve y otros l\u00edderes de VHM han desarrollado una relaci\u00f3n de tutor\u00eda con Chang, el joven preparado por Jeff para servir como Director de MDC. Chang, un hombre de muchos talentos y mucho celo, comparte su visi\u00f3n con el pastor Steve y lo busca en busca de orientaci\u00f3n y aliento. Los dos pueden mantenerse en contacto durante todo el a\u00f1o a trav\u00e9s de las redes sociales.<\/p><p> \u00bfC\u00f3mo ha afectado esta asociaci\u00f3n a la congregaci\u00f3n local de VHM? \u201cEstoy convencido de que Dios ha puesto su mano en nuestros esfuerzos y nos ha bendecido enormemente al obedecer su mandato de llevar el evangelio a todo el mundo\u201d, dice el pastor Steve. \u201cTailandia est\u00e1 lo m\u00e1s lejos posible de Dublin Virginia, sin embargo, el Se\u00f1or ha extendido el ministerio de VHM literalmente al otro lado del mundo.
