Dear Friends,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As 2022 gets underway, winter is in full swing way \u201cup north\u201d in places like Texas, Oklahoma, and Virginia, while South American summer is upon us, as the sun has finally banished the chilly Pacific fog. The warm weather is one thing saving Peru from having too dramatic of an increase in \u201comicron covid\u201d at this time, although cases are rising. Lord willing, omicron will be a distant memory by the time our winter approaches in May.<\/p>\n

Whether we face pouring rain or blistering sunshine (and the Andean sunburns), ever-present sickness, or consistent health, we always have a King who reigns and a Father who hears our intercessions. So, please continue to \u201cpray also for us, that God may open a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ\u201d!<\/p>\n

The World\u2019s Highest City: Take Five<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

February will take us back to the highest city in the world for the fifth time in five months. Each time I take a different group of Peruvian missionaries in training to share the gospel and take steps towards planting a church in this dirty, polluted, unchurched, unevangelized mining city of 20,000+ people living above 16,000 ft. Thank you for praying for our previous trips!<\/p>\n

Many, many folks have heard the Word. Pray for the seeds that were planted and for those who have repented and believed to bear much fruit! We also made contact with a couple of believers who are trying to re-open their churches after a couple of years (two churches merging as one). We will be working with them in the future to see a healthy church planted!<\/p>\n

Pray for Christ\u2019s church to be established amidst the craggy glaciers of southern Peru!<\/p>\n

\"A<\/a><\/p>\n

Guadalajara* to the Golden Triangle<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s been nearly two years since my last trip to Asia (I flew directly over Wuhan, China, in early 2020, while it was the first city to be locked down). Many of our friends and co-workers have also been kept from returning to the mission field. However, the time has come, and we are preparing to send our Mexican teammates back to Asia in just a few months. Lord willing, they will be based near the Golden Triangle in northern Thailand, just miles from Laos and Myanmar, and less than 100 miles from China, where they will partner with a local (Chinese speaking) pastor\/church planter, as well as help set up a base to receive future Latino missionaries.<\/p>\n

Please pray for Jose, Eloisa, and their three boys (Danny, Sammy, & Haziel) as they prepare to return to the field. (And contact us for info on how you can support them!)<\/p>\n

Christmas Channel<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Faithful donors have helped us continue distributing food and Bibles, especially during the recent Christmas season. It can be embarrassing at times when people assume that everything is coming out of our own pocket when, in reality, some of YOU are the ones sacrificing to provide for these needs! We are just the channel, the conduit, for the blessing. Inflation and unemployment are still a major problem right now, and most people are extremely grateful for even a bag of groceries.<\/p>\n

Pray that God would continue to provide for these needs, but also that folks would be even hungrier for the Word of God!<\/p>\n

Coming to a Town Near You?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

We will be spending quite a bit of time in the States starting in the Spring. It has been nearly six years (late 2015-mid 2016) since we last took a proper furlough to visit as many of our praying friends and supporters as possible. We would love to meet up with you or visit your church.<\/p>\n

Please reach out to compare schedules, especially if you are in or near Oklahoma (early March, late May), Colorado and the Pacific Northwest (late May-early June), Northern Great Plains (mid-June), the Great Lakes (mid-late June), North Carolina (the last few days of June and early July, or elsewhere (Aug-Dec).<\/p>\n
