GOD\u2019S KINGDOM IS UNSTOPPABLE<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

On the Japanese calendar, 2022 is the year of the Tiger. While we don't believe in these zodiac signs, it is good to be reminded that our adversary, the devil, is constantly on the prowl, and we must be vigilant to stand firm against his lies and threats. Our confidence is in the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, who fights on our behalf and always leads us in victory. In spite of much hardship and opposition, we have seen the Kingdom of God advancing in remarkable ways.<\/p>\n

SOUTH INDIA EVANGELISM<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Brother Abednego held a series of evangelistic meetings which saw amazing response:<\/p>\n

* 480 individuals came to the Lord.<\/p>\n

* 68 new believers were baptized in water.<\/p>\n

* A new church was opened and dedicated to God.<\/p>\n

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation, for all nations, tribes, and tongues!<\/p>\n

TRAINING MINISTERS IN NORTH INDIA<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Thanks to generous donors, a new dormitory and classroom have been opened for Shalom Bible School in North India. This is cause for celebration! The dedicated teachers are educating and equipping pastors, evangelists, and church planters to spread the gospel and make disciples in unreached areas of India.<\/p>\n

EXPLOSIVE GROWTH IN NEPAL<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Thanks to the passion and wisdom of our missionaries on the ground, and the courage and hard work of our national leaders, churches are flocking to join the IPHC Nepal Network. With help from the WMM Covid-19 International Relief Fund, hundreds of congregations were provided with food and medical supplies during the hardest days of the pandemic. Now, people are coming to be baptized in the name of Christ as a result of these tangible expressions of God's love. Now, weary pastors struggling on their own are finding new vision, new strength, and new anointing as part of a rapidly-growing Spirit-led movement. IPHC Nepal now includes over 600 churches and 30,000 members!<\/p>\n

We rejoice in the marriage of our grandson, Justin Bamba, to the beautiful Rachel Smiley last December. They are enjoying married life in Lynchburg, VA, where Justin is pursuing graduate studies in the School of Divinity.<\/p>\n

A New Baby<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have now become great-grandparents! Karyn's second daughter, Ariel, gave birth to a strong and handsome baby boy on February 5th, weighing in at 7lb 5oz. Ariel and her husband, Ryan, live in Maryland. Welcome to the family, Lucian Joseph Casey!<\/p>\n

POINTS FOR PRAYER<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

\u2022 Pray that the new believers in India will be rooted and grounded in the faith, and stand strong in the face of persecution.
\n\u2022 Pray for our missionaries and national leaders in Nepal as they navigate government restrictions on evangelism and conversion.
\n\u2022 Pray for the students and teachers of Shalom Bible School, that a new generation of pastors and leaders will be equipped to serve the Kingdom of Christ in India.
\n\u2022 Pray for us as we make plans for ministry travel in the age of COVID restrictions.<\/p>\n

SEMBRANDO Y CEGANDO EN CAMBOYA<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\nCamboya se encuentra entre los pa\u00edses m\u00e1s pobres de Asia, tanto material como espiritualmente. Han pasado cuarenta a\u00f1os desde que Pol Pot y su Khmer Rouge mataron a m\u00e1s de dos millones de personas en un intento de establecer una utop\u00eda agraria comunista, pero el legado de esos a\u00f1os del holocausto todav\u00eda se puede observar en una grave falta de infraestructura, educaci\u00f3n, oportunidades y esperanza. Menos del 1% de los camboyanos conocen a Jesucristo como Se\u00f1or y Salvador.\r\n\r\nEn septiembre, Russell ayud\u00f3 a organizar y dirigir un equipo de ministerio a Camboya para realizar una serie de cl\u00ednicas m\u00e9dicas en varias aldeas. Los miembros del equipo proced\u00edan de Carolina del Norte, Carolina del Sur, Georgia, Jap\u00f3n y Filipinas.\r\n\r\nLas condiciones eran a menudo r\u00fasticas ya que llev\u00e1bamos a cabo cl\u00ednicas en las iglesias de las aldeas. En un lugar, los funcionarios locales nos obligaron a cerrar. El gobierno budista autoritario vigila de cerca y en ocasiones restringe las actividades de los cristianos.\r\n\r\nEn otras aldeas, las autoridades enviaron polic\u00edas y m\u00e9dicos locales para observarnos, pero estos se fueron impresionados por la experiencia y la amabilidad de nuestro equipo. \u00a1Incluso se unieron al trabajo y nos invitaron a volver!\r\n\r\nLas madres j\u00f3venes estaban agradecidas de recibir vitaminas y medicamentos para las enfermedades de sus hijos, mientras que los ancianos estaban encantados de recibir anteojos para leer. Adem\u00e1s de ofrecer atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica b\u00e1sica y palabras de esperanza y aliento, los miembros del equipo tambi\u00e9n oraron por los pacientes que buscaron su ayuda. \u00a1La oraci\u00f3n es la mejor medicina de todas!\r\n\r\nJunto con el personal m\u00e9dico, tuvimos la bendici\u00f3n de tener un contingente de j\u00f3venes sobresalientes para ministrar a los ni\u00f1os en cada lugar. \u00a1Estamos orgullosos de decir que nuestro nieto Alex fue parte de este din\u00e1mico equipo!\r\n\r\nLos ni\u00f1os disfrutaron jugando juegos al aire libre, haciendo manualidades, escuchando historias b\u00edblicas, aprendiendo canciones del evangelio y \u00a1simplemente divirti\u00e9ndose! Lo mejor de todo es que los ni\u00f1os aprendieron a orarle a Jes\u00fas y tuvieron la oportunidad de ofrecerle sus vidas.\r\n\r\nEn a\u00f1os pasados, hemos invertido tiempo, esfuerzo y financiamiento en viajes similares, ayudando a trabajos pioneros y cavando pozos para aldeas. En este viaje, nos complaci\u00f3 especialmente ver el fruto de estas inversiones en la forma de florecer nuevas iglesias.\r\n

PUNTOS PARA LA ORACI\u00d3N<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\u2022 Ore para que las iglesias en Camboya no sean oprimidas y restringidas en sus actividades, sino que tengan libertad para adorar y difundir el evangelio.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Nuestras iglesias est\u00e1n ayudando a los j\u00f3venes en sus comunidades al ense\u00f1ar ingl\u00e9s y ofrecer capacitaci\u00f3n en computaci\u00f3n. Ore para que los j\u00f3venes est\u00e9n equipados para servir al Se\u00f1or y traer prosperidad a su naci\u00f3n.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Ore por el misionero que lidera nuestro trabajo en Camboya, el Rev. Merlen Lamanilao de Filipinas. Ore por su apoyo financiero y por su hija adolescente que pronto se graduar\u00e1 de la escuela secundaria.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Ore por los pr\u00f3ximos viajes a Tailandia y Nepal, por viajes seguros y un ministerio eficaz.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Nuestro apoyo financiero ha disminuido, lo que ha obstaculizado nuestra capacidad para viajar y ministrar.
