Each of you receiving this newsletter are very special to us and are incredible blessings from our God above in our lives and the ministry God has given us to steward. We do pray that God has been your source of strength in 2022 and that 2023 will be a year where the heaviness of the past few years will be broken off your family, your health, your finances, and your relationship with Him and with others.<\/p>\n<p>We also bring you greetings from all the countries and church leaders we represent. The year 2022 has been a pretty incredible year for the IPHC works in the region of East &amp; Sub-Saharan Africa (ESSA). In 2018 we were asked by our WMM Director to set 5-year goals that would help us get to our ultimate goals for our denominational push to reach Arise 2033. Just a few months ago I was getting our numbers together and was overwhelmed at what God and our national leaders had accomplished.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few areas that show what has been accomplished:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We set a goal to have 1,156 Churches and 551,235 church members in ESSA by the end of 2023. In September 2022, as I was putting our numbers together, we have 1,400 churches and over 630,000 members.<\/li>\n<li>We have also been able to establish a new work in a very difficult nation in our region. For the safety of our workers there I will not mention the name of the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We thank God for each of these achievements and sincerely thank all our national leaders and pastors who have helped make this happen. They have continued to work tirelessly, even through the challenges of Covid and instability in some countries. Their reward will be great one day.<\/p>\n<p>We have also been able to see some progress in our building projects. We have made some good headway on many of our major projects and a lot of smaller ones as well.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In this year we have been able to assist with at least 15 roofing jobs.<\/li>\n<li>We have finished the main structure and roofed and finished one of the four floors on our large headquarters in Ethiopia.<\/li>\n<li>We have finished the first phase of the Philip and Gailya List Centre, a two-story structure that serves as the HQ for our church in Kenya, as well as the home of Christian Life Worship Centre. We also were able to dig a borehole and set up a water distribution ministry at this location.<\/li>\n<li>In January we hope to begin phase two of this centre, which will be a multistoried building that will have a kitchen and dining facilities, as well as offices and classrooms.<\/li>\n<li>We have completed about 70% of our Bible School buildings in Ethiopia and DR Congo.<\/li>\n<li>We have also completed at least 50% of our Central Church in Burundi, where we have a growing church and a large children\u2019s ministry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_5353\" style=\"width: 243px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Joshua-Allison-Alice-Kepler-Ynara-Wooten.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5353\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5353\" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Joshua-Allison-Alice-Kepler-Ynara-Wooten-270x270.jpg\" alt=\"Joshua, Allison, Alice, Kepler, Ynara Wooten\" width=\"233\" height=\"233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Joshua-Allison-Alice-Kepler-Ynara-Wooten-270x270.jpg 270w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Joshua-Allison-Alice-Kepler-Ynara-Wooten-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Joshua-Allison-Alice-Kepler-Ynara-Wooten-375x375.jpg 375w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 233px) 100vw, 233px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5353\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Joshua, Allison, Alice, Kepler, Ynara Wooten<\/p><\/div>\n<p>God has been good and has provided so faithfully in all these areas. Of course, as the work grows more and more, opportunities will arise, and we will continue finishing what we have started. Sharon and I are both doing very well even though we are dealing with some small physical issues. Our kids are all well. Joshua and Allison had a new baby girl on Feb. 16. She is a wonderful surprise gift from God! She has just learned to do her version of scooting and crawling and can get anywhere she needs to. Then we got another surprise this Christmas when we found out that Jessica and Luke will be having a little girl in June of 2023. Also, most of you know, Janene, who is also a full-time missionary, was released to her mission field in June and moved to Wales in August 2022. Tuvimos varios eventos en nuestra iglesia y en nuestra escuela de ingl\u00e9s, donde cantamos canciones navide\u00f1as, jugamos juegos e hicimos una artesan\u00eda de \u00e1rboles de Navidad. Fue una bendici\u00f3n ver a nuestros hijos, as\u00ed como a los j\u00f3venes de nuestra iglesia, coordinar algunos de los eventos. Compartimos con los ni\u00f1os y sus familias que la raz\u00f3n por la que celebramos la Navidad es por el maravilloso regalo que Dios nos dio al enviar a Su hijo a la tierra para vivir entre nosotros. Jes\u00fas es el regalo de amor de Dios para nosotros, y todo lo que tenemos que hacer es aceptar su regalo. Hab\u00eda varios ni\u00f1os y sus padres que nunca antes hab\u00edan ido a la iglesia y que nunca antes hab\u00edan o\u00eddo hablar de Jes\u00fas. Una madre y sus tres hijos vinieron a nuestra escuela dominical el domingo siguiente y han venido varias veces desde entonces. Est\u00e1n experimentando muchas dificultades en su familia en este momento. Oren con nosotros para que las historias y los sermones que hayan escuchado crezcan en sus corazones y se sientan atra\u00eddos por Dios, quien es el \u00fanico que puede traer la verdadera paz y unidad. <\/p><p> <a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/IMG_4856.jpg\"><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-3548\" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/IMG_4856.jpg\" alt=\"Amigos en Navidad con las Bambas\" width=\"360\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a> <\/p><p> En nuestras clases de conversaci\u00f3n en ingl\u00e9s, hemos estado leyendo un sencillo libro de cuentos b\u00edblicos para ni\u00f1os. Hemos tenido varios ni\u00f1os y sus madres vienen a observar las clases para ver si les gustar\u00eda unirse. Una ni\u00f1a le coment\u00f3 a su madre cu\u00e1nto le encanta escuchar las historias y quer\u00eda volver para poder terminarlas. Otra madre coment\u00f3 lo diferentes que eran nuestras clases de otras clases de ingl\u00e9s que ella hab\u00eda observado. Ella sinti\u00f3 que no solo ense\u00f1amos a los ni\u00f1os habilidades de ingl\u00e9s, sino que tambi\u00e9n nos preocupamos de ense\u00f1ar y entrenar a todo el ni\u00f1o mental, emocional y espiritualmente. Le est\u00e1 yendo bien en Liberty University y est\u00e1 creciendo acad\u00e9micamente y espiritualmente. \u00c9l es un l\u00edder de grupo peque\u00f1o para los chicos de su sal\u00f3n.
