We invited them to our house for a home cooked, sit-down meal including appetizers, soup, salad, a main dish, and dessert. The ladies were able to relax and talk about the challenges they faced as well as what God has done for them during this past year. One of the ladies’ husbands is very anti-Christian. Her husband doesn’t allow her to attend church on Sundays; she is only able to attend when he has to go in to work on Sundays. She was able to attend the luncheon because it was during the week at our house and not at the church. She was so thankful and refreshed to be able to fellowship with other believers. She is very talented at crafts and has been making banners to hang at the front of our church sanctuary. She makes different ones to match different seasons or themes. She recently made a banner of a beautiful tree made of many different colored leaves. It is a great reminder that we are all different and have different gifts and talents, but we all belong to the same body of Christ. How amazing to know that each one of you is connected to each one of the Japanese believers through God’s love. We are all one body! She says making the banners fills her with peace and brings her comfort and encouragement even though she cannot attend church regularly due to the persecution she receives from her husband and sons. Continue to pray with us for all of these women, as most of them are the only Christian in their family.

Hunter has finished his high school studies as well as one year of college online.
