World Missions Celebrates Madagascar Church Dedication<\/strong><\/h1>\n

MADAGASCAR \u00ad\u00ad\u2013\u00a0Pastor Rev. Tojo Ranaivorimanana and his wife Deborah began building the foundation of their new church building in 2019. As they diligently worked alongside church congregants, many times even into the night, the Lord blessed their hands and not only did their congregation grow, but their building plans grew along with it. Just a few years later, on March 4-5, 2023, World Missions Ministries (WMM) rejoiced with the Ranaivorarimananas and their congregation as they dedicated their newly completed, three-story structure in Madagascar\u2019s capital city of Antananarivo as the official home of New Life in Christ Pentecostal Holiness Church.<\/p>\n

Present at the two-day dedication and celebration was World Missions Executive Director, Bishop J. Talmadge Gardner along with Southern Africa Regional Director Joe Delport and Pastor Bobby and Laura Floyd from Barrineau PHC in Barrineau, SC. Throughout the preaching, ribbon cutting, dedication, and worship, Bishop Gardner reported it to be a humbling and unforgettable experience with a wonderful sense of God\u2019s anointing and presence on both days.<\/p>\n

The new building, which held 1,000 people in the main auditorium and over 600 people in an overflow room the weekend of the celebration, has been a true testament of God\u2019s provision for New Life in Christ PHC.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the years, serving as a missionary, I have built many churches, and the one thing I have realized is that a church building brings identity, stability, and a place of hope for the people of that community, town, or even city. This is what has happened in Antananarivo,\u201d Delport said. \u201cThey have grown considerably from a small, prefabricated building to a three-story building having an attendance of 1,000 on a Sunday.\u201d<\/p>\n

The celebration, according to Delport and Bishop Gardner alike, carried a sense of excellence throughout, just as the new building does in its infrastructure. Complete with a bottom-level overflow space, a second-floor main auditorium, and a third floor with classrooms and offices, the building is expected to be a true launching pad for the IPHC in Madagascar. Because of the Lord\u2019s blessings and the growth of the congregation, Pastor Ranaivorimanana is already making plans for expansion where New Life in Christ can also care for their city.<\/p>\n

In sharing the significance of the event, Bishop Gardner recalled his thoughts as the ceremonies commenced. As he watched the audience worship and praise God, he remembered Jacob D. Lehman, a PHC missionary who first went to South Africa in 1913. According to Dr. Frank G. Tunstall in The Simultaneous Principle, <\/em>the young Pentecostal Holiness Church didn\u2019t have the funds to even provide a one-way ticket, but Lehman realized that the Jehovah Jireh who called him to missions would also provide for him, and he went anyway. Lehman was faithful to carry the gospel message and expanded the IPHC into Africa. Today, the IPHC celebrates a ministry presence in 31 of the 49 countries within the African region and continues to expand.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd now 110 years later, as I worshipped with the 1,600 plus members that had gathered to celebrate what God had done, I was overwhelmed by the importance of our being a sending church. Without your support for missionaries who have a calling to go,\u201d Gardner said of the IPHC sending body, \u201cnone of this may have been possible, and these precious souls may have never heard about Jesus, His love for them, and the radical transformation that He can make in their lives. We must never stop sending those who have a call to go. The fields are \u2018riper\u2019 for a harvest of souls than ever!\u201d<\/p>\n

WMM extends a special thank you to those who gave over the years to make New Life in Christ Pentecostal Holiness Church a church for Madagascar\u2019s generations to come.<\/p>\n

SEMBRANDO Y CEGANDO EN CAMBOYA<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\nCamboya se encuentra entre los pa\u00edses m\u00e1s pobres de Asia, tanto material como espiritualmente. Han pasado cuarenta a\u00f1os desde que Pol Pot y su Khmer Rouge mataron a m\u00e1s de dos millones de personas en un intento de establecer una utop\u00eda agraria comunista, pero el legado de esos a\u00f1os del holocausto todav\u00eda se puede observar en una grave falta de infraestructura, educaci\u00f3n, oportunidades y esperanza. Menos del 1% de los camboyanos conocen a Jesucristo como Se\u00f1or y Salvador.\r\n\r\nEn septiembre, Russell ayud\u00f3 a organizar y dirigir un equipo de ministerio a Camboya para realizar una serie de cl\u00ednicas m\u00e9dicas en varias aldeas. Los miembros del equipo proced\u00edan de Carolina del Norte, Carolina del Sur, Georgia, Jap\u00f3n y Filipinas.\r\n\r\nLas condiciones eran a menudo r\u00fasticas ya que llev\u00e1bamos a cabo cl\u00ednicas en las iglesias de las aldeas. En un lugar, los funcionarios locales nos obligaron a cerrar. El gobierno budista autoritario vigila de cerca y en ocasiones restringe las actividades de los cristianos.\r\n\r\nEn otras aldeas, las autoridades enviaron polic\u00edas y m\u00e9dicos locales para observarnos, pero estos se fueron impresionados por la experiencia y la amabilidad de nuestro equipo. \u00a1Incluso se unieron al trabajo y nos invitaron a volver!\r\n\r\nLas madres j\u00f3venes estaban agradecidas de recibir vitaminas y medicamentos para las enfermedades de sus hijos, mientras que los ancianos estaban encantados de recibir anteojos para leer. Adem\u00e1s de ofrecer atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica b\u00e1sica y palabras de esperanza y aliento, los miembros del equipo tambi\u00e9n oraron por los pacientes que buscaron su ayuda. \u00a1La oraci\u00f3n es la mejor medicina de todas!\r\n\r\nJunto con el personal m\u00e9dico, tuvimos la bendici\u00f3n de tener un contingente de j\u00f3venes sobresalientes para ministrar a los ni\u00f1os en cada lugar. \u00a1Estamos orgullosos de decir que nuestro nieto Alex fue parte de este din\u00e1mico equipo!\r\n\r\nLos ni\u00f1os disfrutaron jugando juegos al aire libre, haciendo manualidades, escuchando historias b\u00edblicas, aprendiendo canciones del evangelio y \u00a1simplemente divirti\u00e9ndose! Lo mejor de todo es que los ni\u00f1os aprendieron a orarle a Jes\u00fas y tuvieron la oportunidad de ofrecerle sus vidas.\r\n\r\nEn a\u00f1os pasados, hemos invertido tiempo, esfuerzo y financiamiento en viajes similares, ayudando a trabajos pioneros y cavando pozos para aldeas. En este viaje, nos complaci\u00f3 especialmente ver el fruto de estas inversiones en la forma de florecer nuevas iglesias.\r\n

PUNTOS PARA LA ORACI\u00d3N<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\u2022 Ore para que las iglesias en Camboya no sean oprimidas y restringidas en sus actividades, sino que tengan libertad para adorar y difundir el evangelio.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Nuestras iglesias est\u00e1n ayudando a los j\u00f3venes en sus comunidades al ense\u00f1ar ingl\u00e9s y ofrecer capacitaci\u00f3n en computaci\u00f3n. Ore para que los j\u00f3venes est\u00e9n equipados para servir al Se\u00f1or y traer prosperidad a su naci\u00f3n.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Ore por el misionero que lidera nuestro trabajo en Camboya, el Rev. Merlen Lamanilao de Filipinas. Ore por su apoyo financiero y por su hija adolescente que pronto se graduar\u00e1 de la escuela secundaria.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Ore por los pr\u00f3ximos viajes a Tailandia y Nepal, por viajes seguros y un ministerio eficaz.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Nuestro apoyo financiero ha disminuido, lo que ha obstaculizado nuestra capacidad para viajar y ministrar.
