A mission is going and doing. Jesus gave us His idea of a vision in Acts 1:8. His vision, the mission: Winning the lost at any cost. His vision is our mission!<\/p>\n<p><strong>OUR MISSIONS REPORT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Mexico<\/b><\/p>\n<p>As reported in our last newsletter, we graduated the second generation of Holmes Bible College students. Our third-generation class will begin with 50 new students in preparation for the ongoing harvest.<\/p>\n<p>I won't go into detail now, but Lord willing, if all comes together, we are in the beginning stage to extend Holmes. Praise the Lord, yes indeed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Holmes-Graduates.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5709 \" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Holmes-Graduates.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bishop Talmadge Gardner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In April I, along with missionary Ben West and main event speaker Bishop Talmadge Gardner, spoke at a conference and church dedication in Mexicali. Bishop Gardner was booked two years in advance. He delivered a good and timely message and was well received. There were about 3,000 in attendance. The man can preach!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Bishop-Gardner.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5710 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Bishop-Gardner.png\" alt=\"Bishop Gardner speaking in Mexicali\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Berea Building Program Almost Completed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 Corinthians 9:7 declares that God loves a cheerful giver. We would like to give a big thank you to those who give cheerfully and abundantly. Because of your giving, the soon-to-be-completed auditorium will be put to its intended use. I was informed today that Christmas will be celebrated in the building. It is almost completed. Praise the Lord.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Church-Building-Project.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5712 \" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Church-Building-Project-270x270.png\" alt=\"Berea Building Project\" width=\"287\" height=\"287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Church-Building-Project-270x270.png 270w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Church-Building-Project-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Church-Building-Project-375x375.png 375w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 287px) 100vw, 287px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Guatemala<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>James and Joyce Ward were missionaries who worked in Guatemala for many years. They were also personal friends of ours. Both have transferred to heaven. The building program going on in San Luis (project #62017 if you desire to help) is in honor of their years of service. They were great missionaries, and good people. Their legacy lives on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/guatemala.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5708  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/guatemala.png\" alt=\"Guatemala Building Project\" width=\"399\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Belize<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Every year groups go to Belize for Vacation Bible School, training and building programs. As many know, Gene Hancock left this world earlier this year. One would think all would come to a halt. On the contrary, the work in Belize continues, including building programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How Missions Should Be Done<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Independence Church recently held a building dedication. The project is almost completed. After the doors and windows are completed, we close the books on this building project. We would also like to thank Landmark Church from Oklahoma for the work they did on the Maya Mopan South Church. We are very thankful for their work and dedication.<\/p>\n<p>They were not the only group to help, but there is just not enough space to mention everyone that helped after the passing of Gene. We are thankful for everyone and the work that was done. Teamwork is a beautiful thing to behold.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/celebration.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5711 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/iphc.org\/missions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/celebration.png\" alt=\"Celebration of Independence Church\" width=\"240\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>PHYL'S WORLD: GREETINGS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our Family is doing well, and the grandkids are growing. Recently, our grandson, (He is Amber's oldest. She has two now. Can you believe it?), told me, \u201cMom (he hears everyone call me that, so sweet), you belong at my house.\u201d Ron may disagree, but oh what a temptation. I miss those grandbabies.<\/p>\n<p>The passing of Gene Hancock and Judy P\u00e9rez were bittersweet experiences. They truly are in a better place.<\/p>\n<p>We are still in a harvest, The Holy Spirit is moving, Jesus still sits on His throne, and God is good, all the time.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for all your love, support, and especially your prayers.<br \/>\n<em>Love and Blessings, <\/em><em>Phyllis<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>IN CLOSING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are close to meeting our goals needed to return to the field. For us, it is always a bittersweet experience. We don't like leaving the field, and we don't like leaving our friends, family, and church family. However, we are eager to return. Hemos estado viajando en los Estados Unidos desde el 6 de diciembre de 2018, desde California hasta Carolina del Sur y del Norte. \u00a1Dios es bueno! \u00c9l siempre nos proporciona un lugar para quedarse y un autom\u00f3vil para usar para desplazarnos. Agradecemos a las siguientes iglesias que hemos visitado por su amabilidad, calidez, hospitalidad y generosidad: la Comunidad Internacional de Cristo, los Ministerios Cristianos de Berea, Jes\u00fas es el Se\u00f1or, la Iglesia de la Ciudad Cristiana, la Cruz a la Vida, la Palabra de Vida, la Iglesia Cristiana Filipina, Springfield PH Church, Laurinburg PH Church, Woodville PH Church, Abundant Life Church, Goose Creek PH Church y Brock's Chapel. El 24 y 26 de enero, el pastor Steve Willis y Jim Cox de Valley Harvest Ministries en Virginia llevaron a cabo un seminario de liderazgo en el Centro de Capacitaci\u00f3n de Misiones Indo-China (Mekong Bible Training Center) en Mae Sai con la ayuda del Pastor Chi Chang, el Pastor Big Laddawan, y los misioneros, Doug y Jill Nelson. Fue un gran seminario al que asistieron 40 l\u00edderes provenientes de Tailandia, Laos, Camboya y Myanmar. El tema de la conferencia fue \"S\u00e9 fiel\". La construcci\u00f3n de la tercera fase del dormitorio en el Centro de Capacitaci\u00f3n B\u00edblica Mekong y la cafeter\u00eda en el Seminario Teol\u00f3gico de Tailandia est\u00e1n avanzando. Ambos proyectos deben completarse para obtener mejores instalaciones y programas de discipulado efectivos para nuestros estudiantes. Agradecemos a nuestro director nacional, el Dr. Wallapa Wisawasukmongchol, por asistir a la sexta Asamblea Mundial en Chile, del 20 al 22 de febrero, para representar a Tailandia. Ella fue animada y tuvo un tiempo maravilloso con hermanos de diferentes partes del mundo. Damos gracias a Dios por su liderazgo. Tuvimos la suerte de participar en los eventos de comidas de la Gran Comisi\u00f3n de Carolina del Norte, dirigidos por Doug Bartlett, que comenzaron el 14 de febrero y se extendieron hasta el 7 de marzo (totalizando 12 reuniones). \u00a1Estas comidas estuvieron llenas de grandes personas, excelentes informes de misioneros, excelente comida, excelente compa\u00f1erismo y una gran oportunidad para que las iglesias se asocien con misioneros! Gracias a los representantes de IPHC WMM, el Dr. Terry Tramel y el Reverendo Brian Nix, por animar a las iglesias a ganar almas para Jes\u00fas en todo el mundo al apoyar a los misioneros y diferentes proyectos.
