Jacqueline “Jackie” Sylvester<\/strong><\/h2>\n

(1941 – 2025)<\/h2>\n

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jacquelyn Sylvester (Kirkwood, Missouri), who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to\u00a0send flowers<\/a>\u00a0or leave their condolences on her memorial page<\/a> and share them with the family.<\/p>\n

As we bid adieu to Jacquelyn’s earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Jacquelyn has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life’s journey.<\/p>\n

She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur Werder and Nathalie Kammerer. She is survived by her children, Scott Sylvester (Angela Duprel) and Stephanie Brooks (Jay); her grandchildren, Rachael and Josh; her sister, Sandra Eno (Robert); her nieces, Jamie Lucks (David) and Tonya Pollak; and her nephew Todd Eno (Amy). She is also survived by many grandnieces, grandnephews, and countless friends.<\/p>\n

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Mortuary – Kirkwood (10301 Big Bend Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122).<\/p>\n

On Behalf of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church World Missions Ministries (WMM) family, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of Jacquelyn Sylvester.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jackie faithfully served the Lord in the Philippines for 15 years. She first arrived in 1981 as a LOVE (Lay Overseas Volunteer) worker where she assisted in administrative duties and teaching. In 1993 she became a missionary status worker and was appointed as the Philippines\u2019 Field Superintendent, according to The Simultaneous Principle<\/em> by Frank G. Tunstall.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dedicated to the Lord\u2019s work in the Philippines, Jackie spent her next few years overseeing five conferences and three Bible schools, and traveling though the nation, encouraging the Filipino National Board to lead the Church in a more active way. When she departed from the field in 1996, she reported back confidence in their ability to lead. Jackie was the last Field Superintendent to serve there, leaving behind a matured Pentecostal Holiness National Church.<\/span><\/p>\n

“WMM honors Jackie in both her selfless servitude to the Kingdom and her profound devotion to the Lord,” WMM Executive Director Bishop J. Talmadge Gardner shared. “We thank the Lord for her life and ministry legacy.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Dora Dane McNeill Sandhu, 96, de West Columbia, SC, falleci\u00f3 pac\u00edficamente en su casa la noche del 12 de agosto de 2020. Se llevar\u00e1 a cabo un servicio familiar privado en la Iglesia de Santidad Pentecostal Ebenezer, el s\u00e1bado 15 de agosto de 2020, 11:00 A.M. La Sra. Sandhu naci\u00f3 en McCormick, SC, y era la hija del fallecido Freddie Oscar y Winnie Dane Dew McNeill. Dora muri\u00f3 antes que su hermana, Winifred M. Caines, y sus tres hermanos: el reverendo James R. McNeill (Gerri), O. Ray McNeill (Mildred) y P. Wesley McNeill (Ginger). Despu\u00e9s de ese viaje, le escribi\u00f3 al director de la misi\u00f3n denominacional que sent\u00eda que era el momento. Despu\u00e9s de ser aceptada como misionera, pas\u00f3 varios a\u00f1os en Hong Kong sirviendo como enfermera misionera y como directora de la escuela secundaria Wing Kwong College. Este fue el cumplimiento de su sue\u00f1o misionero y tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda un bono para ella. Conoci\u00f3 a su esposo, Jarnail, en un servicio religioso internacional mientras estaba en Hong Kong.
