FROM THE DIRECTOR’S DESK<\/em><\/h4>\n

Over the past 15 years, The Awakening has served as a gateway to the nations and a doorway to missions ministry for the next generation. At every international border we\u2019ve crossed, with every mission trip team we\u2019ve taken, in every internship we\u2019ve led, and at every missions intensive we\u2019ve hosted, we have heard countless testimonies of teenagers and young adults expressing that they have received the call of God, as Abraham did, to \u201cgo.\u201d They have been called to go to the lost, to the hurt, and to the marginalized. Go to urban cities, to remote villages, and to the ends of the earth. And as we are continuing to open doors, they are continuing to walk through those doorways with a boldness, willingness, and a tenacity that, to be quite honest, sometimes surprises us. For example, this summer, we, as The Awakening, are leading more mission trips and hosting more interns than ever before.<\/p>\n

We believe a new generation of missionaries is arising \u2014 missionaries from everywhere that are willing to go anywhere, and we are committed to serving them, discipling them, and empowering them so that they will be ready whenever God says to them, \u201cPack your bags. It is time to get moving.\u201d For as it was with Abraham, we want it to also be said of this emerging generation within the IPHC, \u201cBy faith they, when called to go to a place they would later receive as their inheritance, obeyed and went\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Within each of the opportunities we provide (mission trips, internship programs, missions intensives, and other events), it is our heart and our God-given mandate to keep each opportunity as affordable as possible. With the number of obstacles this emerging generation is already facing, dollar signs do not need to be added to their list. Making a financial profit has never been a motive for The Awakening. We know who we exist to serve, and we are willing to go to any length to make a way for the next generation across our global movement to encounter the presence of God and discover His purposes for their lives on this earth. With that being said, there still remain many operational costs for The Awakening to be able to run at the capacity we believe we\u2019re meant to.<\/p>\n

Would you consider partnering with us? We are greatly appreciative of one-time gifts, but we are also in search of monthly partners. Whether it\u2019s $50, $25, or $10 a month, every dollar you give will greatly impact our ability to reach, serve, and disciple more youth and young adults around the world.<\/p>\n
