In Korea, I taught a missions seminar and helped conduct a Member Care program for Korean missionaries who are serving globally. Training and building awareness of how to care for the Korean missionary are the keys to long-term missions service.

The face of missions is changing. It is no longer only a white face who delivers the good news of the gospel; rather an Asian, Latin, Indian face. Some Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhist need to see a different face to understand that God loves them. The face of missions looks like God’s face. God so… loved the world… that He gave His only son.

In 2016, Asia will pass North America and become the largest missions sending region of the world. The early missionaries often reported Korea to be a resistant country to the gospel, along with the Philippines and China. Today these counties contain a high ratio of Christians and send missionaries. Koreans are known to be a people who are prayer warriors. Prayer is an essential factor to missions, for it requires the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit to draw people to Christ.

“You make me very proud” is what I tell the Koreans and Chinese missionaries. “You are a testimony of the power of God who transforms lives.” “You are the fruit of faithful prayer warriors who prayed and sent a missionary, the fruit of a missionary who wanted to quit, but they trusted God’s call to you and continued to invest their life in you.”

Thank you for your prayers and continued support that sends me to the nations.

Pruitt Prayer Parchment by Rhonda Pruitt Korea in the Spotlight Korea has been at the center of recent ministry.
