HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe another year has passed?\u00a0 I had a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebration here in our beloved Hungary! During the holiday season some of the gifts we receive the most are the calendars that seem to find their way to our desks. One of the easiest gifts to present and the most practical! The pages for the New Year are already laid out before us helping us to do our best planning for the year.\u00a0 It won\u2019t take long to fill in the spaces and prepare for the days ahead.<\/p>\n
As we flick the calendar forward to a new year we can see that our days are numbered and that it won\u2019t take long to come to the end of the next year! The psalmist wrote \u201cTeach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.\u201d No thoughtful person can approach the New Year without some introspection. We are reminded of the brevity of time. We also look back over our mistakes, failures, and missed opportunities, and vow that we will make better use of our time in the future.<\/p>\n
I wonder if we can look back over this year and know that we did all that we knew to do in the best way we could. I hope this is the case for us this past year in Eastern Europe. We do forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead, but in order to understand where we are going it is good to reflect, not dwell, over the past year. Below are some of the highlights of 2015.<\/p>\n
\u2022 January 2015 – April 2015: I had the privilege of serving as a staff member in Turkey for the program, Discipleship Beyond.\u00a0 Despite the fact that before I went to Turkey I was diagnosed with shingles, I still felt compelled to go. Since that time I have been diagnosed with PHN (Post Herpetic Neuralgia) and still ask for your prayers regarding this affliction. It will be one year on January 7, 2016, that it all began.\u00a0 It has slowed me down somewhat but trusting God for healing.<\/p>\n
\u2022 April 2015: We had the privilege of going to the Szugli Church in Budapest to celebrate the day Pentecost fell on the members of the Free Christian Church in Hungary.\u00a0 The history of the church is very much like the history of the IPHC.<\/p>\n
\u2022 May 2015: I met in Hong Kong for the 5th Global Conference hosted by the Kwing Wong church. The hospitality was superb. It was good to see all the many different people and leadership around the world during this time. We also had the chance of visiting the nearby mainland China Guangzhou.<\/p>\n
\u2022 June 2015: I took a brief trip home to see my granddaughter\u2019s graduation. It is hard to believe that she has left the nest already.<\/p>\n
\u2022 I\u00a0 had the chance to visit New Zealand for the birth of\u00a0 my third grandson, little Ezra DeWitt Kelty. Shawna had a shaky start, but in the end everything was fine. While in New Zealand I had the chance to meet Alwyn and Diety, they are a connection in Rotorua and have connections with Chris Friend who is our representative for\u00a0 the IPHC in Australia.<\/p>\n
\u2022 I am also pleased to announce that there was two leadership summits held in Europe. One was in Holland with Matt Helland and some of our leaders for F.E.E.D. (People to People),\u00a0 and the Emerging Leaders\u2019 summit in Madrid, Spain. I am so happy that our young leaders are rising to the occasion to take the \u201cbaton\u201d and carry the message of the gospel to their homelands and beyond!<\/p>\n
\u2022 Two new adventures have begun here in Hungary. Krisztina Revesz is in charge of a new church plant in a nearby town. Please pray for this new group that God will extend it and use it to be a light in the community. Another venture is the opening of a juice bar\/coffee bar at the church in Szigetszentmiklos.<\/p>\n
We extend to all our supporters, family and friends a most joyous and prosperous New Year full of opportunity for the Kingdom of God.\u00a0 Also, a huge \u201cthank you\u201d to all who have supported\u00a0 me throughout the year!<\/p>\n

Durante la temporada de vacaciones algunos de los regalos que recibimos la mayor\u00eda son los calendarios que parecen encontrar su camino a nuestros escritorios. Uno de los regalos m\u00e1s f\u00e1ciles de presentar y el m\u00e1s pr\u00e1ctico! Las p\u00e1ginas para el A\u00f1o Nuevo ya se presentan ante nosotros que nos ayuda a hacer todo lo posible la planificaci\u00f3n para el a\u00f1o. No pasar\u00e1 mucho tiempo para rellenar los espacios y prepararse para los pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas. A medida que Flick el calendario hacia adelante a un nuevo a\u00f1o podemos ver que nuestros d\u00edas est\u00e1n contados y que no pasar\u00e1 mucho tiempo para llegar a la final del pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o! El salmista escribi\u00f3: "Ens\u00e9\u00f1anos a contar nuestros d\u00edas, que traigamos al coraz\u00f3n sabidur\u00eda." Ninguna persona reflexiva puede acercarse el A\u00f1o Nuevo sin un poco de introspecci\u00f3n. Esto nos recuerda la brevedad del tiempo. Tambi\u00e9n miramos hacia atr\u00e1s sobre nuestros errores, fracasos y oportunidades perdidas, y voto que vamos a hacer un mejor uso de nuestro tiempo en el futuro. Me pregunto si podemos mirar hacia atr\u00e1s en este a\u00f1o y saber que hicimos todo lo que sab\u00edamos hacer de la mejor manera que pudimos. Espero que este sea el caso para nosotros este pasado a\u00f1o en Europa del Este. Nosotros olvidar el pasado y mirar hacia lo que est\u00e1 por delante, pero con el fin de entender hacia d\u00f3nde vamos es bueno reflexionar, no habita, en el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o. A continuaci\u00f3n se presentan algunos de los aspectos m\u00e1s destacados de 2015. \u2022 enero 2015 hasta abril 2015: tuve el privilegio de servir como un miembro del personal en Turqu\u00eda para el programa, Discipulado all\u00e1. A pesar del hecho de que antes de ir a Turqu\u00eda me diagnosticaron herpes z\u00f3ster, todav\u00eda me sent\u00eda obligado a ir. Desde ese momento se me ha diagnosticado con la NPH (post herp\u00e9tica) y todav\u00eda pedir sus oraciones con respecto a esta aflicci\u00f3n. Que ser\u00e1 de un a\u00f1o, el 7 de enero de 2016 que todo comenz\u00f3. Me ha ralentizado un poco, pero confiando en Dios para la curaci\u00f3n. \u2022 Abril 2015: Tuvimos el privilegio de ir a la Iglesia Szugli en Budapest para celebrar el d\u00eda de Pentecost\u00e9s cay\u00f3 sobre los miembros de la Iglesia Libre Cristiano en Hungr\u00eda. La historia de la iglesia es muy parecido a la historia de la IISP. \u2022 Mayo de 2015: me encontr\u00e9 en Hong Kong para la 5\u00aa Conferencia Mundial organizada por la iglesia Kwing Wong. La hospitalidad fue excelente. Fue bueno ver todas las diferentes personas y el liderazgo de todo el mundo durante este tiempo. Tambi\u00e9n tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar la cercana tierra firme china de Guangzhou. \u2022 Junio \u200b\u200b2015: Tom\u00e9 un breve viaje a casa para ver la graduaci\u00f3n de mi nieta. Es dif\u00edcil de creer que ella ha dejado el nido ya. \u2022 tuve la oportunidad de visitar Nueva Zelanda para el nacimiento de mi tercer nieto, poco Esdras DeWitt Kelty. Shawna tuvo un comienzo incierto, pero al final todo estaba bien. Mientras que en Nueva Zelanda tuve la oportunidad de conocer a Alwyn y deidad, que son una conexi\u00f3n en Rotorua y tienen conexiones con Chris Amigo que es nuestro representante para la IISP en Australia. \u2022 Tambi\u00e9n me complace anunciar que hab\u00eda dos cumbres celebradas liderazgo en Europa. Uno de ellos fue en Holanda con Matt Helland y algunos de nuestros l\u00edderes de los piensos (People to People), y la Cumbre de L\u00edderes Emergentes en Madrid, Espa\u00f1a. Estoy muy feliz de que nuestros j\u00f3venes l\u00edderes est\u00e1n subiendo a la ocasi\u00f3n para tomar el "bast\u00f3n de mando" y llevar el mensaje del evangelio a su tierra natal y m\u00e1s all\u00e1! \u2022 Dos nuevas aventuras han comenzado aqu\u00ed en Hungr\u00eda. Krisztina Revesz est\u00e1 a cargo de una nueva planta de la iglesia en un pueblo cercano. Por favor oren por este nuevo grupo que Dios se extender\u00e1 y usarlo para ser una luz en la comunidad. Otro riesgo es la apertura de una barra de bar de zumos \/ caf\u00e9 en la iglesia en Szigetszentmiklos. Extendemos a todos nuestros seguidores, familiares y amigos de un a\u00f1o nuevo m\u00e1s feliz y pr\u00f3spero lleno de oportunidades para el Reino de Dios.
