Like the Apostle Paul of old, Pastor Paul Glass has run the course and finished his race, and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, December 15, 2023.
Paul served the IPHC for many years, and in the last 3 years, has done so while also managing a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
Conference Superintendent Tim Lamb shares, “It was my privileged to serve with Pastor Paul Glass in ministry. He will be remembered for his faithfulness to the call, and his determination to finish well. Pastor Paul fought a good fight, finished his race, and kept the faith!”
At the beginning of November 2023, Pastor Paul informed his church that he would enter hospice care. It was at this time he also challenged his church to “protect the unity and the peace and the love that makes Connection Point what it is and to preach the Word, to know the Word, and to live the Word.”
His wife, Penny, was ordained in September, and she will continue to lead the church in fulfilling its vision and destiny.
“Paul Glass and his wife, Penny, demonstrated great courage and hope as they walked through the valley of the shadow of death. The church family they pastored at Connection Point supported their pastor with inspiring love and care. We know that Pastor Paul is fully alive and well in the presence of Christ, and we rejoice in hope of the resurrection,” says Presiding Bishop Doug Beacham.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, December 23, from 1-3 PM and 3-4 PM at Connection Point. More information can be found here.
During the summer, General Superintendent Doug Beacham and the GSO Communications team had the honor and privilege of interviewing Paul and Penny. They shared their struggle and encouragement when facing a terminal illness, and we encourage you to watch it here.
